At 12:53, from the red curve I infer that at 7.94 GHz it will reflect to backside and also transmit at the same frequency how can it transmit and reflect at the same frequency. Am I understanding it correctly. Can you help to give clarity

good question. For the initia adjustment there will be no difference between them in terms of the requency response. So to decrease simulation time I use PEC. In the later stages of the project you can use the actual material. It will have small effect on the frequency responce, and wil add loss.

@@sciencelearning2326 You should use Time-domain solver. Using time-domain will not change the results, but using FSS with antenna disables 'Unit Cell Boundary' conditions. So your bandwidth and S11 parameters of the FSS will change under these conditions. You must take into account this situation and use enough Cells to ensure proper operation of your FSS.

How to find the reflection phase?
you can directly look at the reflection parameters like S11 and S22 and plotting their phase you will get the reflection phase.

Why you chose Frequency solver not time solver
Because in Grequency Solver we can use Flloguet Boundaries and unit cell boundary conditions use these Floguet equations.
