    It's a really interesting video but there's no need to keep repeating the parent company every 60 seconds. I know the brand!

    The issue I have with what seems like a common issue with ALL leather repair is that you LOSE THE TEXTURE AND THE GRAIN of the leather making it easy to see the actual repaired area.
    Texture is one thing, but added the lines in the skin realist to the actual skin i've yet to every find anyone able to do that

      You have to use and old piece of similar textured leather (textured surface to the repair) and then use the iron. The texture will be imprinted. Better sponging technique can also add some natural looking texture. It’s never going to completely disappear. I have red leather which is so hard to match. It’s frustrating on that end.

    if you did it with a more cautious and artistic eye you could repair it without making such a mess of it and it would look much cleaner.

  • @victorjbarker
    @victorjbarker 4 года назад +5

    Product was way overused and not clean enough of clumps and debris. You can see the lumps just painted over. Plus to much overlap which removes the texture giving it a synthetic too smooth look. Those could have been masked and not isolated with more attention to detail to look better. You can also use prices of leather or vinyl with varying degrees of texture to pick and choose from. Use this instead of Teflon mess to replicate the existing mirror image of old texture.

      I think it looks pretty damn good from a complete rip in the leather! Let me see what you have?

    • @OneKnite1
      @OneKnite1 2 года назад +2

      @@spiritseeker1932 It looks good on camera but for people that know this process you can see the problems. There was debris left on show as he put colour on and yes, I do this all the time.
