Thank you Victoria!! It is the first time that I listen to Angel. What a wonderful, masterful, beautiful and majestic performance in all respects. I am a fan of the new generation of Chinese pianist. Since the beginning of Lang Lang, celebration of Yundi Li Chopin award, Yuja Wang and Di Wu. Have had the privilege of attending concerts of Lang Lang, Yundi Li and Yuja Wang in both the US and China. Di Wu and all other Chinese celebrities are in my list and God grants me to meeting, I am only 72, but may become old soon. Very best greetings from San Diego, Ca.
So nice to see young kids getting into this stuff. Win or lose it keeps them off the streets !
The number of "young kids" on the planet as good as this guy would number about less than five. Anyway I think he's an adult now and there's not many adults as good as him either. Fantastic enthralling performance.

HE interprets and plays the PETRUSHKA ...BETTER than MAURIZIO POLLINI...famous for this very piece...everything else was also stunning!! he gives everything...but not just for the sheer fullness ...but because the music DEMANDS it. he s not afraid of "being accused of not being pretty sounds all the time"...he approaches the piano as an ORCHESTRAL instrument and therefore draws from it what the music requires...his is the playing that is not "about being a pianist" but about being a MUSICIAN and artist.

Thanks for pointing that out, genius. He recovered quickly. These kids must be under tremendous pressure, learning and performing so much repertoire with only one chance to play it for the judges. I wish I had half the talent.
