Take care, I’m struggling at the minute too, it’s so hard putting on a brave face in front of my family - they all just think “good old Lindsey/mum she just gets on with stuff, nothing bothers her” and that’s what they expect to see from me, yet here I am sat alone on my sofa crying and worrying about the future, the unknown, the what ifs etc, over eating and over thinking, worrying about the brain scan my 23 yr old daughter has to go for, worrying about the exams my 19yr old son has just taken as part of his job. Pre COVID I was not like this, it’s affected me just like it has you and many others, it’s hard, but I’m just trying to take it a day at a time. Sending love and hugs to those in need right now xx

Who needs a therapist when we have Gary C and all his kind words and loving voice. That last bit about knowing things will be different and making Christmas yours was such a wonderful thought. Don't look back at what once was, look forward and make it what it is and will be in the future knowing the people you love will always be the people you love no matter the situation at the moment.

@@garyc I dont have the equipment anymore to do any of my live videos or Vlogs. They were old and I just havent had the money to replace them. With Covid, I have been out of work, then of course my car accident last August and my Dr just pulled me from working permanently. I have been waiting on Social Security here in the US to grant me disability that my doctor has confirmed I am now. UGH!! So, hubby and myself are living off of his Social Security.
I said this to my friend last night: you should not feel guilty for taking enjoyment out of being comfortable and secure in your home. She is going through a hard time and felt guilty for enjoying being at home. I’m a Nursing Associate at my local hospital and will be working 13:00 - 20:00 on Christmas Day so I’ll be celebrating differently. X
My friend, you are so right about what you are saying. I spent 8 years without my only son ever visiting me. Not knowing for sure why I went into these panic attacks and sometimes there are things in life we can not change on our own. We just have to live for the day and appreciate the fact that we are here and alive. I thought I was having a heart attack and was in the hospital going through tests and being told my heart was fine. To me, my heart was not fine because I needed my son in my life he is all I have. Anxiety is difficult to deal with and I have had several attacks since the covid. I am a people person and I think that not being able to go out and chat with people here and there is what gets to me. I can understand how you feel Gary and you will get through all this and I will also.
I've chosen to let this time bring forward my creative spirit. For Christmas, everything is being mailed out, but I'm making every box a real experience.

I find that if I plan what to do for the next hour things don't seem so trying and out of reach. It is hard for everyone and you are right, anxiety is creeping through most peoples lives with elderly family, job worries, financial difficulties, families with young children and those who are at Universities etc. Things may never be the same again who knows, but maybe some of those changes will be positive. I know I’ve commented before about our living in Japan and I totally get everything you’re saying. Our daughter had baby boy in May and we still haven’t met him. She and our son in law have had no family with them and have been at home with the baby teaching online for 8 months. They need us and we can’t go home because it’s so dangerous in the States and we have practically no cases in our part of Japan. Coping has become an art form for everyone. People want to know about going to Disney....I just want to go out for ramen. It’s a lot!

Thank you for these videos, I’m so far from my family, I came into this lockdown with such high anxiety that I haven’t left the house for months, being afraid and depressed is a bad combination, it just freezes you and you can’t even make the smallest moves. 😕 I want my life back because before all this my boyfriend and I would jump on a taxi and in a short car ride I’d be at the coast for a walk along the beach, or visit my mother-in-law, or go window shopping...and now life has become so small...even if my life before Covid wasn’t very adventurous, it had small pleasures that I don’t have right now.
Your song brought a tear to my eyes. Been dealing with a lot and my breaking point that I had to sell my Disney Pin Collection for $200 to buy groceries to feed my Siblings. I want my life back too. I want to smile again
You are such a sweetheart. I have to say I’m not finding it easy being on furlough from work and living alone. FaceTime isn’t quite the same. We are very similar apart from you being multi talented. I’ve had my breakdowns. Sometimes I never feel like leaving the house but you have to try and remain positive. I need to pick up my brushes and do some painting again. Was going to get an I pencil but not sure how could they are. Anyway. Thank you for your bloggs. We all just want to give you a huge hug. You and Adam have become my salvation. Taken me to a happy place when I’ve felt down so thank you for that. We can all get through this if we are kind and there for one another. Bless you Ian. Furlough has been really hard for people who are usually out & busy all the time. I think it’s allowed people to be with themselves for the first time in a long time. That’s when we fill in the gaps & overthink. The iPencil is great! I have the iPencil 2. It’s expensive though. I say have a go with the brushes & just make stuff. No pressure or expectations on yourself. Take care x

You're right - it is the not knowing that is hard. When will I be able to hug my family and friends again? Despite my caution, will I get the virus, and, if I do, how bad will it be? I've accepted that the holidays will be alone - just me and my two 6-month-old kitties. We'll be fine. And we have such a large backlog of your vlogs to re-watch which are such a joy. This will change us, but maybe that's okay. You take care of yourself, Pumpkin. It's always good to see you.

I am going through extreme lows & then I feel like it shouldn’t feel this way cuz I have my job & my family are doing okay. It’s tough.

I resonate so much with your videos. Life for me is like being on a rollercoaster with ups and major downs. For quite a few years now. My fiancé dumped me coming up to 2 years ago now and whilst I’m over him, this time of year is very hard. I miss my friends, I feel like life is in limbo. Thank goodness for RUclips and your videos. Thank you Gary for such a thoughtful video. I've suffered anxiety a long time and once had a break down years ago. This year my anxiety has risen its head and panic attacks have started again and its been hard. As you said I'm a homebody to and at first I was happy but now its harder than before. This video was so so helpful and you're very brave to tell your truth. I actually find hope and feel a bit less alone to know others suffer anxiety (though I wish no-one had to suffer with it) and feel as I do.

I know the feeling of bottling up, after my breakdown also in 2008 I wrote a song as well, I’ve started to realise writing things often does help, it feels like at most way I can open up, and not burden people with my thoughts. I love you have made a ‘magical prison’ I need to create one myself. I’m now to your vlogs after seeing your Christmas message through Lorin, and I’m so glad I came across your vlogs.
You are honestly, a national treasure. A voice that people really need to hear. Look for tiny little things that are working out. Not sure if you’ve seen the Simpsons but there’s an episode where they went to Tokyo ( i think) and they were on a plane and Marge was going “ Lemme out Lemme out”😄. That’s how lockdown feels.
@@garyc Yes it does, but tiny miracles that happen in our personal space really do make a difference. Yes, take note of what’s happening but also surround yourself with happy things. Things you CAN rely on. Yesterday i decorated a small table top christmas tree with my favorite things. It is the holidays but perfectly ok to treat ourselves ❤️

Thank you for these videos, I’m so far from my family, I came into this lockdown with such high anxiety that I haven’t left the house for months, being afraid and depressed is a bad combination, it just freezes you and you can’t even make the smallest moves. 😕 I want my life back because before all this my boyfriend and I would jump on a taxi and in a short car ride I’d be at the coast for a walk along the beach, or visit my mother-in-law, or go window shopping...and now life has become so small...even if my life before Covid wasn’t very adventurous, it had small pleasures that I don’t have right now.

You are such a sweetheart. I have to say I’m not finding it easy being on furlough from work and living alone. FaceTime isn’t quite the same. We are very similar apart from you being multi talented. I’ve had my breakdowns. Sometimes I never feel like leaving the house but you have to try and remain positive. I need to pick up my brushes and do some painting again. Was going to get an I pencil but not sure how could they are. Anyway. Thank you for your bloggs. We all just want to give you a huge hug. You and Adam have become my salvation. Taken me to a happy place when I’ve felt down so thank you for that. We can all get through this if we are kind and there for one another. You never forget you are such a special person, a diamond that is making a whole load of people feel better so if you are ever feeling down just remember you have thousands of friends watching out for you x
Bless you Ian. Furlough has been really hard for people who are usually out & busy all the time. I think it’s allowed people to be with themselves for the first time in a long time. That’s when we fill in the gaps & overthink. The iPencil is great! I have the iPencil 2. It’s expensive though. I say have a go with the brushes & just make stuff. No pressure or expectations on yourself. Take care x

You're right - it is the not knowing that is hard. When will I be able to hug my family and friends again? Despite my caution, will I get the virus, and, if I do, how bad will it be? I've accepted that the holidays will be alone - just me and my two 6-month-old kitties. We'll be fine. And we have such a large backlog of your vlogs to re-watch which are such a joy. This will change us, but maybe that's okay. You take care of yourself, Pumpkin. It's always good to see you.

I love these chats. I am one of the lucky ones that have continued to be able to work during all of this & I am very grateful for it but I am struggling with it all. I am going through extreme lows & then I feel like it shouldn’t feel this way cuz I have my job & my family are doing okay. It’s tough.

I resonate so much with your videos. Life for me is like being on a rollercoaster with ups and major downs. For quite a few years now. My fiancé dumped me coming up to 2 years ago now and whilst I’m over him, this time of year is very hard. I miss my friends, I feel like life is in limbo. Thank goodness for RUclips and your videos. Thank you Gary for such a thoughtful video. I've suffered anxiety a long time and once had a break down years ago. This year my anxiety has risen its head and panic attacks have started again and its been hard. As you said I'm a homebody to and at first I was happy but now its harder than before. This video was so so helpful and you're very brave to tell your truth. I actually find hope and feel a bit less alone to know others suffer anxiety (though I wish no-one had to suffer with it) and feel as I do.

I know the feeling of bottling up, after my breakdown also in 2008 I wrote a song as well, I’ve started to realise writing things often does help, it feels like at most way I can open up, and not burden people with my thoughts. I love you have made a ‘magical prison’ I need to create one myself. I’m now to your vlogs after seeing your Christmas message through Lorin, and I’m so glad I came across your vlogs.
You are honestly, a national treasure. A voice that people really need to hear. Look for tiny little things that are working out. Not sure if you’ve seen the Simpsons but there’s an episode where they went to Tokyo ( i think) and they were on a plane and Marge was going “ Lemme out Lemme out”😄. That’s how lockdown feels.

@@garyc Yes it does, but tiny miracles that happen in our personal space really do make a difference. Yes, take note of what’s happening but also surround yourself with happy things. Things you CAN rely on. Yesterday i decorated a small table top christmas tree with my favorite things. It is the holidays but perfectly ok to treat ourselves ❤️

Gary you put everything in perspective it’s definitely fear of the unknown and very isolating for a lot of people i’ve noticed i feel different my anxiety has been awful also tiredness and depression and i’m still working at least i’m getting out i feel sorry for other people who aren’t used to being at home, however i’m thinking the vaccine is gonna help make a difference as we can’t go on the way we are going thanks for another great vlog❤️🤗🤩🥰xxxx
