Another terrific job. It's great to see how you overcome problems and sum up with a 'that'll do' or 'it'll be ok'. Anyone else would be saying how brilliant it looks. You are a very modest craftsman and I love watching you at work
Thankyou Duncan, 👍 In my head i want it perfect but i have to get it done & get it done fairly quickly, I could spend more time n get it pretty much spot on but i knew this was getting painted & it would've got caulk around it anyway, on other sprayed jobs i have to take more care. I've spent all my adult life on site, you get some people turning up n they spend hrs doing something n even then in the end it isn't perfect, those people don't last long, so i had to find a compromise between the ideal in my head & the realism of getting it done, "that'll do" is me saying it's not perfect but... ok, & "it'll be ok" sort of means the next step will make that better.. sort of 😂 How much time is spent is up to the person n situation but this is my work, Thankyou, i don't know about modest but i do like to set my standards high n when they fall short "that'll do" 👍😉
Thanks howard, never really noticed how much i do it but watching n editing the vids i see now, sometimes I'm tempted to glaze over it but it is an important part of fitting, You'll prob see a lot more 😁
Haha thanks 👍 Good, I'm glad 😉 never really noticed how much i do scribe things but watching n editing the vids i see now, a lot of things have to be made to fit, sometimes I'm tempted to glaze over it in the editing but it is an important part of fitting, You'll prob see a lot more 😁
Nice work and thanks for taking us along with you. Every morning I look at my phone and I hope that there is another vid and another project. Thanks Again
Thanks I'm gladd you like them 👍 The router cutter was a round-over bit, not sure of the size without looking but 30mm MR MDF so prob 16mm radius www.axminster.co.uk/axcaliber-ovolo-roundover-cutters-ax807115
Thanks Simon. just had a look at that n there's a few others, I'd just loose them n i have no prob with the scribers apart from them breaking but thanks,
Not many joiners these days would take the trouble to scribe joints to fit, i have even seen internal skirting board corners just butted and it looks crap. the shoe shelf looks good.
The Tisa 3.0 is still around, i think it only cuts 75mm, dunno but to be honest i wouldn't buy one of these, i have had issues, I'd be tempted to buy the Dewalt saw or similar, it has a decent fence, that's what lets a lot of saws down, easy to make a blade spin around but to get a decent accurate cut you need a good fence, i made the one for my table saw & bought it with the intension of mounting it in a table & making a good fence. The Dewalt is a bit noisy though. Thanks, will do, plenty more to come 👍
Yeah i guess there's a few, there's the two already mentioned, fixing directly through with screws n nails, the uprights could go right from top to bottom with the shelves fixed at their sides underneath with pocket hole screws, I think the challenge with any way of fixing is trying to keep them in line,
your work is second to none! Somebody sponcer this guy!
😊 Thanks shaun 👍

Nice work. Have you seen uscribe jig? I have the green ones for 18mm boards definitely make scribing a lot easier.
Thanks Simon. just had a look at that n there's a few others, I'd just loose them n i have no prob with the scribers apart from them breaking but thanks,

Yeah some of it can be shockingly bad, maybe they don't know how,
It only takes a few minutes n makes a world of difference,
What a long ad so exited video

What table saw is that you use?
It's a 315mm Scheppach Tisa 5.0 Sawtable,

That paintwork is terrible cant understand why people accept such shoddy work !
Yep it's shocking, but I've learnt that some people just don't see it, see the flaws n poor workmanship which is why some painters get away with it 😣
