@ho888sg The lock metal plate provided is too long for my mailbox. The original metal plate is too thick to screw in with the Digital Lock. What should I do? Please advise.
Can I ask if your mailbox hole has its flat sides horizontally or vertically? Mine is such a way I can only slot in my lock sideways, so the numbers are sideways. WHat should I do?
Sounds like you got the wrong lock. The check here is whether your lock turn clockwise or anti, as shown in the video. If you gotten the wrong lock, try for refund or exchange and get the correct lock from the link I provided. Fyi I do not sell them nor have any relation to seller.
Hello Jason, may I check with you please if you have encountered if the lock doesn't work properly? That the lock keep reset itself back to default password. Is it a signal of low battery? But there wasn't any indication that it is low battery status.

Hi Jason, thanks for this video. It helps with the installation. However, not sure why mine can still be opened slightly leaving a gap in between. We used the original hdb lock piece as well.
@@zacharyy3147 hmm very hard to imagine without pictures or videos. I don't think I come across until can peak inside. It's more like whether or works or it doesn't. Is there no way to make it more stable like by adding layers of rubber rings or something?
Since the factory default password 4321 can over right the set password, it means that anyone can just use the default password to open the letter box. So does it still serve the purpose 😮
@@ho888sg the metal plate is provided in the box, once installed, use a wrench or something firm to bend the metal plate inwards, towards the letterbox, you should be able to lock the lock properly
It's been almost a year and it works on same battery. There is a warning sign when it's running out, even ran out the pwd stays, so just change the batt with a screwdriver

@@ho888sg it turns ACW, seems ok. THe straight part of my mailbox hole was the wrong side, maybe cannot insert right way.
@@lenzwong is it old hdb mailbox? If you got the same lock as me it will work for newer hdb
@@ho888sg yes the rectangle one, not the square. for my keyhole, the round parts are at left and right and the flat parts are at the top and bottom.

After installing, my letterbox door is loose in locked mode. It can open up to a 5mm gap. What can I do to minimise the gap

No, the password will remain.

You need to change the master code first then the lock code. Without changing the master code mine got reset as well

Just to clarify, so it works normal and there is no issue. Just that now when you open the lock to open the mailbox, it become somewhat loose/shaky.

I faced the same problem. Just need to put the metal plate diagonal 45 degrees

It's somewhat rain proof if you keep the battery cover and screw in, but definitely not waterproof.

There is 2 type of password, the normal and the master. If you had changed both of them, then would need the new password to change again
