    Imran, you are a lifesaver! I have been looking for this effect where an "opens a new window" icon appears on hover over an image to show the link opens in a new window for a couple of hours but nothing worked until yours. Thank you!

      It'll need some refinement with the CSS Transition syntax.

    Looks great. Can I use that effect also for the nav menu? I have a nav menu and I want an image, which is behind, appear when I hover over it or when I activate the menu.

      Yes, absolutely, when hovering over the column that houses the Nav Menu.

      @@websquadron I've tried that but the link colour is the same like the colour of the image, so i would need to change the text colour turn to black as well when I hover over it. That overwhelms me. And what happens when the menu link is activated? The image has to stay in the back and the text colour has to be black.

      @@websquadron I've just tried to get the effect by using a button in the header. I've managed to display the image in the background of the button when hovering over it. It just looks strange because the image is kind of "fading in from the left" and I don't know how to turn this effect of...

      You need to reverse the logic where opacity: 0 is invisible.
