Cox Thimble Drome .049 engine run

I'm assuming this is a Thimble Drome engine. The one in the video doesn't say that it is a Thimble Drome anywhere but I'm assuming it is because I have another engine that looks identical and says Thimble Drome twice on it

The Thimble Drome Prop-Rod was my first trip to the Hospital on Christmas at about 8 years old.....Even when DAD told me not to stick my finger into the spinning prop..... I am a loser..... hahaha Great memories and scars to remind me of it.... at 71 years old....

That primeing really helped it just turned over Im so excited someone gave me two of these and they haven't been fired up in like over 40 yrs thanks.

What did you use for the battery clip? Just got a similar motor but can't find a clip for the battery

I used to have one of these. I used to start it just holding it in my hand by the fuel tank. Probably not the smartest thing to do. I used it on a power pod on top of a Thermic 50 free flight glider.

Both of mines heater coils are history would a torch lighter work ?
