It's very touching that Steve, a character originally voiced by Alex Hirsch, cried over the idea of two gay grandmas while King, who Hirsch currently voices, comforted him. Hirsch specifically wanted to put gay old ladies in Gravity Falls but was denied by Disney, something he regrets a lot. A very touching moment
Eda did *not* do the same thing Camilla did. There’s a BIG difference in Camilla wanting to send Luz to a camp to teach her how to “think inside the box” and how *not* to be herself, and in Eda wanting to send Luz and King away from Bonesborough because she’s frightened for their lives. Luz may see it the same, but it’s very different.
*Disney robbed us of a beach day episode!!!* Also, Dana confirmed that Steve is in fact Mattholomule's older brother he referred to in *Through the Looking Glass Ruins* Their dynamic is sadly one of the story threads that got cut from the shortened Season 3

I imagine they were going to be slower with the Belos witch hunter reveal, maybe having full flashbacks of Philip murdering his brother, more episodes to flesh out Willow, Gus, and Hunter, improving their bond, etcetera.
Luz still doubts herself and thinks she needs to handle everything herself. She believes Belos was her fault. I recognize this kind of mindset. Deep down, Luz really hates herself, doesn't she?

I think deliberately showing Luz remembering things a little differently, especially with her mother and the Collector, is character building - it shows that she tends to remember things more catastrophically and negatively than what was actually said (“Promise you’ll stay here? I didn’t mean to push you away! I promise things will be different.” -> “Promise you’ll stay here and never go back to that place.” Or “We’ll play forever, me and you | when you paint the land in nine bright hues!” -> “Let’s slash and rend and crush and bruise | Let’s curse the land in nine bright hues!”). She misinterpreted her mother, was so /terrified/ by what the Collector was implying that she remembered their words /much/ more darkly, and may have just thought King was the son of the Boiling Isles strongly enough that she /thought/ she said it/remembered it that way, even when she didn’t. Kinda makes me wonder what other things she thought loudly enough she thought she said, but never actually made it out. I think it’s a cool way of showing the little flaws in this really sweet and headstrong girl, and super clever!
I cant even exactly place why, but that montage of King and Steve just kinda hanging out and working through their issues is one of my favorite scenes in the show ive seen in a while. Crazy how they took a goofy joke side character and made him legitimately endearing.
The theory and probable reason for mixing up Luz's memories is because sometimes when people internalize trauma they remember it worse than it actually was especially when it's tiny things that are being done or said adding onto bigger trauma. Great reaction Eli!
I was losing it during the CATS scene! I had to pause and was laughing for 10 minutes. I loved Raine's theatrics, Darius's begging them not to do it, and Luz's excitement!
I never would have expected a Steve and King road trip in this series, but it was so cool. There has also been a lot of "I'm protecting you" and "I don't need protection" these past two episodes.
I can't believe Disney robbed us of a beach day episode. Let's hope and pray that spinoffs and shorts can be made later on, then we can get Amity blacking out from seeing Luz in swimwear.
This episode nearly broke my heart, with how hopeless Eda and Lilith felt about the Day of Unity, and how the former was trying to send Luz and King away for their safety. I'm just glad that they found a glimmer of hope with Raine and the resistance coming to their rescue. Once again, Eda's maternal side for Luz was great to see.
Me: The audience against the throne… Darius: No! We did not agree to this! Me: also known as… Darius: I said no! Me: The A.A.N.T’s Darius: Help me titan please! PLEASE!
I believe the flashbacks differing from actual events are faulty memory and sort of projection of one's fears. Mom only wanted Luz to stay with her- but she worries it means never coming back to the Boiling Isles and thus she remembered the request as "never come back". Then the Collector's rhyme. Not malicious in itself but sinister in context and so Luz remembers it as more outright malevolent than it was. And now King- he's worried that "You're a titan" = "you are the son of the corpse"
I just remembered something: what happened to Jean-Luc!? (The creepy golem thing that was meant to protect King). It was in the Owl House when the Emperor's Coven took everything, so presumably its in storage. I really hope we see it come back, with King pulling a fast one by summoning Jean-Luc to take down some scouts.
Poor Lilith, she’s realized Belos is a lying monster but still buys into his cult of viewing Titans as gods. Wait, do Witches and Demons actually evolve into being from Titan corpses?
Y'know when you mentioned that witches and demons came from the corpse of the titan does that technically mean that the people of the Boiling Isles are King's siblings.

Since I forgot what time frame we had, (and was very tired), I took Eda's offer of one good day in a way darker direction, as if asking someone with a terminal illness what they want for their LAST day. Tears were shed
I'm in pain/ tears, I f*cking hate/ love everything. My thoughts, in order of importance: When Luz asked Eda, "Are you sending me away?" I personally think that the different lines form Luz in different episodes is simply because of the time. Like, in the episode 17 there was a lot of things going on, the intro was shortened too. They probably had to cut out some things and leave only the absolutely necessary ones. So they decided to cut out the "You are the son of the Boiling Iles" to save a few seconds for other important moments. And now in this episode when they had some extra time they added it
Elijah, take a closer look at the Owl House Logo. The "O" in Owl is Owlbert and one of the uprights in the "H" in House is his staff. That same staff is turned upside down to form the "l" in Owl and it is pointing into the "s" in House. If I had to guess it'll be a serpent of some kind BUT since all Clawthorne palismons are birds it'll definitely have wings, most likely bat wings since Luz is an honorary Clawthorne.
Every time I watch this episode I can't get over how the Collector is basically trapped inside a Beast Ball- Gotta love the Pokémon Reference in the actual show :DD

You may have noticed by now (I mean I so rarely talk about this I’m sure /sarcasm) but I love the Found Family Trope, specifically in regards to the mom daughter relationship. Horrible weakness of mine, I’ll admit. So to have this episode just be Eda trying to find a way to save her kids and get them away from danger, even if they hate her for it and/or she has to give herself up nothing will stop her from protecting her kids. Ugggggghhhhhhh! I’m in pain! So much pain! I’m tearing up typing this! The lighting after Eda goes Harpy Mode and her and Luz are talking on the stairwell, the lighting and coloring is gorgeous! The animation this episode was fantastic. Also, second time one of Luz’s moms tried to send her away for what they perceived to be for Luz’s own good. I like that we got to see furious Luz again. Last time was literally in the season 1 finale. The Boiling Isles has therapists! Can we get all these characters a session or two?
I heard the “my kids” part, this family is definitely beyond genes or related by birth. She wanted to keep them safe since she was captured then there was that episode that she wasn’t their real family member, but she still acts like it.
I have something to send you after S2 wraps. I'm a huge D&D nerd and created character types for the character, and I'm working on a character sheet and backstory for how you wound up in this world/interacting with the characters. I'm not a visual artist, but I am a writer and big into creating characters for TTRPGs, and since you already want to beat Kiki, Belos, etc. down, this gives you a character to do just that!
Awww... I was hoping to see your reaction to Luz calling out Disney for cancelling the show: "Wouldn't you rather have a beach day? Maybe if we had time for 20 more adventures, but we don't!"
The music during the confrontation between Eda and Luz in the warehouse is really next level. Totally makes that whole sequence feel so much more dramatic and painful. Also that was some serious sneezing, hope you recovered alright and figured out what the reaction was!
She is going to LOVE Clouds on the Horizon. I am a Demisexual Aromantic and usually hate romance stuff, but I found what happened bittersweet. As for that flashback, I think Luz is WANTING to say certain things but she is too scared to actually put it in words. When she is remembering the events, she's probably thinking she said it because she wanted to. Saying that the Titan of the Boiling Isles is King's dad is a genuine hurtful thought to think about, of course Luz wouldn't want to actually say it. However, she WANTED to say it. I think we all do that, when faced with certain events, we hold stuff back and when we think back on it, we think, "I should've said that!"
8:40 King: Shouldn't you be like kissing the Emperor's butt right now? Steve: Probably. Elijah, who was drinking her water: Nearly choked and may have laughed inside.
As an allergic person, I had to deal with a lot of sneeze attacks, my suggestion is put cold water on your nose. It's not a cure, but help to calm the sneezes
The altered voice lines of memories show how the person feels about what they said or how they remember it. BTW the memory of this episode was kings not luzs
I think the place Luz portaled too is what is inbetween dimensions, because there was a section of Philips journal asking what was between dimentions. P.S. I hope this show gets a comic or short series after season 3 or they get uncanceled
I’m so glad there are therapists in this world. Hunter needs therapy, Luz needs therapy, King, Eda, Lilith, Amity… everyone in this show needs therapy!
In regards to the flashbacks not lining up, I think the main hypothesis currently is trauma and stress, which can warp traumatic memories and events in your mind. Luz is clearly not in a great headspace due to everything going on as well as her struggle with her mum and going home
Hey y’all! So I have a theory: what if the Collector is lying to Belos about what’s gonna happen on the day of Unity? So we see the Collector at the beginning of this episode, and he’s talking about how he’s alone and won’t have to be alone anymore soon. And he yells for King to “Wait wait wait,” before King abruptly leaves the vision. From what the collector is saying he doesn’t sound like the type of kid/shadow/god thing that would just blindly murder a bunch of people which is what his conversation with Belos implies. Now there is always the possibility the Collector knows King is there and is just trying to make King sympathetic towards the Collector for who knows what. So there are two possibilities in my mind. 1. The Collector is lying to Belos about something or 2. The Collector is lying to King in order to make him feel bad. Personally I’m more partial to the first one because in the previous episode with the collector when he was talking to the Emperor we learned that he doesn’t always have to rhyme. “Day of Unity is so hard to rhyme,” so this shows that he’s just choosing to rhyme in order to seem cooler. (Honestly if I was a shadow being with powers I would rhyme too). Rhyming is just a performative thing he does. But in the scene at the beginning of this episode with King, he’s not rhyming. If he was trying to fool King into believing that he was actually just some sad kid he would’ve rhymed while doing so. Now it could also just be that we don’t fully understand the Collector’s motivations yet, and that he doesn’t is just a strange character, but this is my theory right now since we don’t have much information about the Collector
OH I just remeber something when luz went to the room when the collecter is she could only be on the reflexions and she could be where ever she wanted and the collector does the same thing because if u remeber he is only on the walls!
Eda hugging Luz? 17:51 In the first season she didn't know what a hug was, she called it the parallel arm thing and now Eda hugging Luz , that's so sweet! 😀😀😀😊
I've said this on someone else's channel as well, but that wasn't Luz's flashback. It was King's. Why this is happening, I have yet to find an explanation for, but I feel like it's something big. And has to do with the collector or the "in-between" realm cause it's only happened with King and Luz and they're the only ones to have come in contact with this realm.

Also, second time one of Luz’s moms tried to send her away for what they perceived to be for Luz’s own good.
I like that we got to see furious Luz again. Last time was literally in the season 1 finale.
The Boiling Isles has therapists! Can we get all these characters a session or two?
Steve looks perfect, just the way he Is.
I heard the “my kids” part, this family is definitely beyond genes or related by birth. She wanted to keep them safe since she was captured then there was that episode that she wasn’t their real family member, but she still acts like it.
Best birb mom.
4:00 it could just be that said events did happen that way but parts were cut out of the original episode
Belos is a human warlock, lawful evil, and his patron is the collector, a great old one.
Wow I can’t believe one of the cutest saddest episodes was on my birthday and she posted a reaction this is awesome!
As said, I am furious we were robbed from a beach episode among at least other 20 adventures!
"maybe if we HAD 20 more adventures"
you cut this out but it's such a blatant writer's burn, I love it.
Dana confirmed that Steve is Mattholomule's half-brother. Never would've guessed.
some of the animation of eda during the luz vs eda fight were SO smooth!!
Judging by his appearance, Steve definitely looks related to Matt. His motorcycle is a nod to Ghost Rider too by the looks of it!
Dana actually confirmed that they are half-brothers. There was supposed to be an episode of that, but due to the shortened s3.
@@justarandomhumann i'm really sad about the content we could get if it has not been shortened. Damn you disney
@@augustr4wberry ikr, I would've loved to see that, also to maybe see Matty becoming a better person.
@@augustr4wberry I blame the TV execs at Disney for that, not Disney in general.
8:40
King: Shouldn't you be like kissing the Emperor's butt right now?
Steve: Probably.
Elijah, who was drinking her water: Nearly choked and may have laughed inside.
Funfact : the first name Raine came up with were the bats and now they are the cats
17:55 King saying Meow Meow is sooo funny cuz its exactly what luz did in Epsionde 1🤣🤣🤣
Steve and Matt being half brothers make me so happy
I think the place Luz portaled too is what is inbetween dimensions, because there was a section of Philips journal asking what was between dimentions.
P.S. I hope this show gets a comic or short series after season 3 or they get uncanceled
I’m so glad there are therapists in this world. Hunter needs therapy, Luz needs therapy, King, Eda, Lilith, Amity… everyone in this show needs therapy!
Hooty doesn't need therapy, hell I bet he IS the therapist.
Oh god, I just realized that the key to the warehouse is a skeleton key.
In regards to the flashbacks not lining up, I think the main hypothesis currently is trauma and stress, which can warp traumatic memories and events in your mind. Luz is clearly not in a great headspace due to everything going on as well as her struggle with her mum and going home
alternate title: “Lesbian fights through an allergic reaction while her heartstrings are snapped in half”
This chapter is, incredible, amazing and more and less confuse
Watch Luz's palisman be a snail and fool us all.
YASSS💗!!!
I DID NOT AGREE TO THIS-
“THE CATS!! *HISSSS*”
Who's ready to see Elijah explode when the kiss happens
hey elajah the thing that is the colector trap in is a reffrence to pokemon
I REALLY want to see Lilith's harpy form by the end of the series.
Propably this didn gonna happen
HELP I SAW YOUR PRINT AND GOT SO HAPPY BC THAT ARTIST IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE ARTISTS

@@adamk-paxlogan7330Sucks ?
OH I just remeber something when luz went to the room when the collecter is she could only be on the reflexions and she could be where ever she wanted and the collector does the same thing because if u remeber he is only on the walls!
3:46 Luz is a slightly unreliable narrator, which makes me think about Eda’s Flashbacks more.
Eda hugging Luz? 17:51 In the first season she didn't know what a hug was, she called it the parallel arm thing and now Eda hugging Luz , that's so sweet! 😀😀😀😊
Sorry to hear you’ve got allergies, and glad to hear there like mine. Just itchy. Hope you feel better :)
Luz would probably call Eda her God Mom since she's adopted by her till she gets back
Steve is adorable
I’m a say it now, girl you are going to scream so loud when you watch “clouds on the horizon” like you are going to lose your voice screaming 😂
Dana burning the House of Mouse to the fucking ground. I support her in this endeavor, especially after COTH.
Mrs Blight is like the pterodactyl father from Ice Age 5 not allowing a tragedy to be stopped because she believes that she will be safe and live with her family as kings, but in the end she will also die
loved the video, I am very excited to see what luzs palesmen is. I love the cats, I’m pretty sure it’s a cats reference from the musical cats since rain is in the bard coven. Also today I just watched the latest episode of the owl house I am ecstatic and super excited for your reaction on this one you are going to go insane and I live for it.
Can’t wait for your reaction to you know what in the next episode
Luz: exists
Darius: whos feral cat is this
Can’t wait for todays reaction and tomorrows as well
11:24 accully, thats not why he was crying, hes crying because he wants what they have
Btw, the collector is he/they pronouns.
