They could've hard boiled the eggs on the first one. The time didn't matter in that task, it was all about getting the ball in the hole with the fewest hits.
They didn't show all the contestants in that clip. I believe 2 of them did do that and ended up winning the task.
The scoring rules of the task were weirdly cut from this clip. A contestant's score = shots x eggs x minutes.
Josh boiled his eggs, but I don't think he boiled them long enough. Tim started to boil his eggs. I'm not sure if he had finished boiling when he came up with his tennis ball idea. Sadly, neither attempts are shown in this clip.

Every time I hear the song from the first clip I can only think of Jessica Knappett falling off the stage. And I always smile to myself.

5:50 You are only allowed to issue an instruction every 30 seconds, but it doesn't say anything about restricting other statements that are not commands. For instance, "The goal is 30 feet in front of you and slightly to your left." is not an instruction.

So technically the first three word are “take off goggle” thirty seconds later it “go over there”

Secretly the only reason this channel exists is for Taskmaster sport-related challenges.
How long did they have for the edge challenge? I wonder if they could have boiled them.

@@JLF201 Interesting! Thanks for the clarification, I'd missed that. Though I wonder if it'd still not have paid off, as being multiplicative, cutting down on ruined eggs would probably more than make up for even up to fifteen minutes spent messing around getting materials together and boiling eggs, and you could probably easily boil a dozen in that time all together. So I suspect it'd still be worth it.
@@JLF201 Even so it only takes 5 minutes to boil some eggs. I think it would save you in the Ling run by cutting down the amount of eggs you use

For the first task, I would've gotten a shovel to dig the hole out of the ground. Then flip it upside down and put it on top of the ball.
What year did they do this in? Have they SEEN the price of eggs? This is obscene.

I found the contrast funny.
I found it quite hilarious. But perhaps he would have saved some eggs if he boiled them first.

@Sierra Whisky I'm surprised no one tried that since, as I recall, the task wasn't timed and there was nothing in the task saying you or the eggs couldn't leave the course.

for some reason I can't stand Noel Fielding, I find him so irritating and tiresome. If everyone thought he was funny, I would never laugh again. He was ok in the IT crowd but he wasn't even a main character and he was really toned down. Anywhere else hes just rubbish, I feel like Austin powers is more of a funny brit than him and hes not even British.

@GAME raw eggs wont kill you. theyre food to plenty of animals and the occasional 1980s boxer. Good try though.
