If you uses an actual piece of iron banner armor like say a class item or whatever and you use an iron banner transmog on that piece as well it counts as two pieces for your five total. This makes up for running an exotic.
A good Multimach roll I was using even before the TL rebuff, is Under Over + Target Lock. With how many overshields are always present, this combo can shred through a lot of the general defenses people have now.
correction: I run HIR&KT with a backup mag on Archon’s Thunder and I think I even have a mag perk on the gun. That way my mag is 66 and I pick up 26 from the wall and even if I die with all 26 shots, I drop no ammo at all.
@@joshuaandrachek492 I can honestly say I’ve got no clue, cause previous to AT, I used The Swarm for years (same archetype) and that got 23 shots off the wall (mag size 62). Now with Swarm, I had to fire at least one shot to not drop ammo. Also, GLs and Linear Fusions as well as other types of MGs do drop heavy even after using a certain amount, so I guess Cammy or Cross gotta go do some testing 😃

if your vault is full at 700 slots, and you're not a content creator that needs to save weird rolls for content like cammy, you probably have 200+ junk armor/weapons that can definitely be deleted without any worry.
The guiding sight with moving target and kill clip is lethal. The 19 base zoom helps this thing duel in that medium to close range and if you slap on a cqc zoom mod it drops down to 17. For me a 3 tapping 17 zoom scout has a lot of value and I love using it because it really does cover everything.
IMO the real benefit of Guiding Sight is the zoom. High impact scouts are all 21 except jade rabbit which is 20 (still too high). What this means is that the lowest you can get is 19 after using a zoom mod EXCEPT Guiding Sight which goes down to 17 (same as Elsie's rifle). These mods just came with revenant so it is likely the reason they've been so slept on. They have respectable ttk at .8, matching sunshot and the old 150 rpm hand cannons, but it DOESN'T suffering a resilience gate. The ONLY caveat is the low aim assist. For this reason i HIGHLY recommend moving target for both the strafe speed so peek shooting goes better and to make up some of that aim assist. BONUS: precision instrument lets you 2 headshot 1 body 5 and under resilience so you end up with plenty of extra kills you otherwise would not have gotten.

If I find myself with a ton of engrams/glimmer, I'll go for a decent claws of the wolf I guess. There's just not a lot of banana weapons that excite me right now.

I'm saying this to save anyone who likes rapid fire pulses in general time. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME FARMING CLAWS OF THE WOLF! Gridskipper is EXTREMELY easy to farm if you've turned your brain off and finished getting your potion upgrades and you don't even need to farm it in seasonal activities once you have the potions, just go farm master lost sectors, run some GMs, play crucible if you're into that kinda thing you masochist, anything where you're getting kills AND completing activities in a reasonable time. Gridskipper has a base phenomenal recoil, is not really hurting for any stats, has a much more beneficial origin trait for the average player, and flat out gets better trait perks than claws. Trust me you'll save yourself torture in iron banana by actually getting a roll you'll use that is way more obtainable and feels better plus you can pop a tonic and waste no glimmer on claws while IB focusing for any other weapons from IB you might be chasing like peacebond. Its practically the only 3 burst adaptive sidearm that can be consistently farmed rn and not hard to get a good roll on.
So; if somehow you're a PvE player AND haven't already purchased Saladin's Rank 4 Tinasha's Mastery. It is rolling with: Hardlaunch High Velocity Deconstruct Chill Clip Reload MW Which is perfectly serviceable (and my preferred roll).
the Main Selling Point of Guiding sight is that u can use it as a pseudo HC since the Zoom-reduction mod (dropping it from 19 to 17) and Precision Instrument allows it to 2h1b up to 6res ( or PI + 1 surge OR Gutshot for 2h1b across the board). Moving Target for slightly Faster Strafe and more consistent shots. Perpetual Motion for a bit more stats since it sort of lacks both handling and stability. Personal Go to = Polygonal Riccochets(Steady Rounds on the newer version) Moving Target Precision Instrument with either Handling or Stability MW. Sanguine Alchemy allows it to semi-consistently 2-tap with Precision Instrument and allows fairly easy 2tap kill-chaining when maintaining PI stacks while target-switching. Slice Hatchling with Thread of Rebirth allows for some Threadling Shenanigans since most people wont expect 3threadling and a tangle (which sometimes will get instantly detonated by the threadlings) to come out of their teammates corpse. Bonus Points if running Swarmers + The Wanderer and Weaver's Call (Strand Warlock Aspects) on top of it to get some of the easiest Multikills ive ever seen (and the build ive gotten the most hatemail for, especially during seasons with the Threaded Blast artifact Perk). Good Luck to all of you grinding those rolls you want and stop playing this horrible gamemode if you're not having fun!
Over under on Mulitmac is really good for PVE. It burns barriers when SMG‘s are in the artifact, and it shreds, elemental shields, especially with kinetic trimmers for high end stuff.
Solo occasional player here... I have the God Rolls of many/all IB weapons. I currently find very hard to make HCs competitive. In the hands of a disciplined player and in the "right game mode" they may work well. For me... I like hulking around... 🙂
I love my claws of the wolf, but you are right, it basically has to be a god roll to feel good. Im running range mw, corcscrew, ricco, elemental cap (void), zen moment. Im on controller so it really lasers opponents and i think flinches them to the moon

i suck at pvp and have nothing valuable to say but i have a very funny slickdraw iron gaze bite of the fox i keep in my vault for no particular reason (it sucks)
Would have been cool to a have 180 HC that can roll with enhancable Moving target and Precision instrument. Since the ADS strafe speed was buffed for this archetype, I'd like to imagine 100 mobilty with a 180 and moving target would be a nice dueling gun. Alas the only 180 with moving target is the crucible one Survivor's Epitaph... which can't be enhanced 😔 With that said I still want to get Moving target and slideshot with High cal to duel
as far as getting glimmer is concerned, obviously the tonic should be used, but also don't forget the ghost mod! I decided to farm for Ergo Sum's during Overthrows and while I did that for about an hour ,with both glimmer boosters on, I hit max glimmer very quickly while also getting 10ish ergo sums and 5 class items. I think it's honestly a much better farm since you're going for other things that are also very powerful rather than getting a bit more glimmer but also a bunch of random weapons that you can already craft and/or focus and 50 stat armor.

Does being under half a mag prevent all heavy weapons from dropping ammo or just machine guns? What is the rule on this?

Whenever i can, I use all Iron Banner weapons in Crucible for that very reason.
