Stretched metal ....... use shrinking disc. It will bring the high spot down. You have a good start.

Good for you for diving in! I learned if you imagine how the dent was pushed in to shape (started at the rear going toward the front, or vice versa) you pull it out in reverse. So you may start in a shallow point and be working into the deepest. Sounds like B.S. but it works the tension out of the metal. comes out easier as you go along.

You could cut down the door and across. Then pull panel out some. Put dolly and hammer yo the door till its straight. You have some extra metal since its stretched so when you are done hammering you and grind some off till it fits and weld it up.

Thanks for the tip! I was thinking about doing something like that. That stretched spot is still fairly deep and I dont want to fill it up with bondo...

Thank you for the information. I have a 1964 Ford pickup F250 and wanted to get some ideas on taking out some dents. I noticed you got your tool from Harbor Freight and it is only about 1 mile away.

The more I see of this video the more I am impressed. Great job. Some of the older vehicles will not allow you to get behind to beat it out.

I believed that the metal was too far distorted to do much with… my idea was to try and see what kind of damage I could do with a stud gun😃 I would like to learn more about sheet metal working for sure!
