The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.
#Graves #Cemeteries #Death
My dad is still alive he is 95 was on the battleship texas, ww2, he manned the big guns, and then did the captains gig. He received the french medal of honor, for liberating france. He was in iwo jima, saw the flag go up. He was on the battleship all 4 yrs . My grandfather had to sign for my dad to go into the service he was 17yrs old. He met my mom while in the service fell in love with her and they have been married for 70 something yrs. Have you ever seen the battleship texas it is houston. This is dixie from texas. I really enjoy your videos. I am from alexandria, va. There is alot of history there. I now live in texas.
I think people have headstones because when your name is etched in stone, then your name will never be forgotten from the face of the earth. A way to never be forgotten. I’m sure everyone knew that.
Love, love love this channel. Ron, u are so relatable, makes us think you're just a friend we've known forever. I'm so glad I found this channel. Im from Gadsden, Alabama and so proud to see u in our state. I would like to suggest Helen Keller who was born in Wetumpka, Al. She was born blind, deaf and mute, but went on to become very famous, a great author and humanitarian. Its a special story. Thanks again for your kindness and respect.

princesses Diana was a Queens she was so beautiful ❤️
Hey Ron, I got my Faces of the Forgotten T-shirt today! Thanks!
You're not that far from me now, Ron. I live in Louisville, Kentucky. Be careful and be safe, Ron.
Oh, and I ordered the book The Lindbergh Kidnapping Suspect No. 1, by Lise Pearlman. The Kindle Edition.
Got mine about a week ago! Love it!
Buffalo soldiers were buried along the Santa Fe trail, next to the Little Arkansas River, Rice Co, KS. It was on my uncle's land. Our Swedish cemetery has a whole family who died from TB in the early 1900's.
Hey Ron I’m a native Nashvillian. I saw your video at the Hermitage memorial gardens cemetery. When you were there you were literally a stones throw from the Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson, the 3rd most visited presidential home behind Mt Vernon, and Monticello. I hope you got to see it and walk thru it or maybe you’ve been there before. Also there is a very old and purported haunted cemetery, closer into downtown called Mt Olivet, way in the back. . Then of course the celebrities cemetery at Woodlawn. So speaking from a fan in Nashville, we hope to come back soon!
Thank you, appreciate it. I haven’t stop by there yet but I can tell you this, that live stream was from Nashville last night I’m here again. Got some good stories here before I go home. Very busy bee.
Hi Daniel “
Get Well Soon !
Prayers your Way 🙌
Ron, Florida is beautiful ❤️
The civil war cemetery is in Dover, TN a short trip southwest of Fort Campbell. It was a battle field there. It is a Union Cemetery. My family from the area.
Hey Ron I love those early episodes they are great, raw and unscripted. It's what made me and so many others follow you! Keep them coming cause we all love what you're doing.
Totally agree Carla !
Well that’s helpful to know, thank you!!!
Watched live, great show. Don't forget Howard Hughes from Texas and his airplane movies like "Jet Pilot" with Wayne. I've got 2 g grandfathers that faced off with each other in the Civil War around Nashville. One was later captured in Macon, Georgia by Sherman forces and is now buried near Franklin, Tennessee. Eaglegards... P.S. Did you go over to Corvette museum in Bowling Green? I spent a couple of days there when my RV wheel spring broke. Schools are scheduled to close in Cincinnati. NFL games are fixed just like wrestling. Dallas' Jerry Jones got 2 teamsters loans. He didn't pay the first one back and is still alive.
So nice to come across a man with emotions. Not afraid to show r think weak. And i only mean that n a complement way.😊
Agreed !
Hello Dee 🙋♀️
So glad my mom told me about your channel! I LOVE it and so glad I have many more videos of yours to watch! Think you just left my state Tennessee not long ago. You should have gone to this beautiful old cemetery here in Athens Tennessee. Some of the people involved in the battle of Athens from back in the 40s are buried there.
Bought time u getting some rest. Glad to see. Hope u stayin safe. Good luck going home. Happy early valentine's day!
I love Nashville. I’d like to move there after I retire. I usually go to cemeteries there on vacation to visit famous country music singers graves.
I Friendsville TN..you need to check out Bass Shaw up in the mountains
Missed the live! But catching up now ❤️
Tonight I cooked homemade crab cakes, hush puppies, and made remoulade sauce. Watched Saturday night Svengoolie, "Revenge of the Creature" (1955). The 2nd part of, "Creature From the Black Lagoon"! Clint Eastwood made his screen debut, he looked so young it was wild. Can't wait for the new episodes 💯
Oh those are ALL great!!
If you make it to Mississippi anytime soon I have an intriguing story and burial of a well known criminal Doc Bishop here in Calhoun County. The time period is 1880's and Doc was accused of the massacre of a Texas Ranger known as W.T. Wise. Both are buried here in Calhoun County Mississippi. Years ago some Texas rangers came and placed a memorial stone for Mr. Wise. Doc was hanged here at the county seat. Many think he was wrongly accused. It is still debated today. Our once Ms governor (from Calhoun) Dennis Murphree did a local piece in our paper called "The hanging of Doc Bishop"
Love your channel. I live in Harrison, Arkansas where you did the episode An Ozark’s Hanging. I discovered your channel about a couple of months ago so I’m still catching up. You do such a fine job. I love the stories and you bring us right along on your journey. Thanks!❤️

And Flipper! Great shows! Also loved Princess Diana, she was a wonderful lady. Camilla 👎 lol Thanks Ron great chat!
Nobody seems to like Camilla! except one viewer....(not you of course)
@@FacesoftheForgotten Camilla took Diana to lunch a few times before the wedding to "size her up" and see if Diana could be manipulated in the future. Pretty cold and calculating if you ask me!
Welcome to my home state!! Hope u had a great visit.
Hey Ron- Good to see you. Please be safe on your way home. be blessed.
Amen !
Nashville's not far from me. About 3 1/2 hours or so via the Natchez Trace Parkway. An interesting site along the Natchez Trace Parkway is the Meriwether Lewis burial site and memorial which is about an hour and a half from Nashville. He died in 1809 supposedly by suicide but many believe he was murdered. The cemetery there is called Pioneer Cemetery and that was started in 1853, several years after Lewis was buried. A lot of graves from the 1800's. The last person buried there was in 1926. The war dept. replaced all of the broken and worn headstones with flat ones in the 1920's. It's a really beautiful little park that has rest rooms and picnic tables. You can get on the Trace there in Nashville. It's one of my stopping points going back & forth between MS and Nashville.
Yeah I saw that when I left Natchez heading north, what a long Beautiful road of wilderness.
I read a book about the Hillside Stranglers in California years ago. I lived in California for 36 years. Such a horrifying story.
If you are coming to the North East you need to pop into Paramus New Jersey. George Washington memorial park has some notable people from the music world as well as my parents. Luther vandross, sylvia Robinson, Clyde McPhatter and Marvin and O'Kelly Isley are there. It is a beautiful place. The use plaques instead of grave stones, but the have great statuary, a reflecting pool, wonderful mausoleums and this cool building with a tower that I believe used to be the onsite crematorium. You need to check it out.
I am from Evanston IL and enjoy your cemetery bogs.
I just watched a What's My Line? the other night. Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman were on there. They were so young but I guess I was too at that time. Ha!
Love your channel so much, Lyn Walton, Cape Town, South Africa.
While in the area, you MUST go to Loveless Cafe. Best breakfast, you'll love it. Go to Hattie Bs for authentic Nashville chicken sandwich and best banana pudding. Go easy on the hot level. ENJOY!

Wanted to add the scary creaking door on INNER SACTUM and the sardonic laugh of THE SHADOW. Both programs scared me as a kid...would run out of the room when I'd hear that voice. LOVED the chat last nite...laughed thru the whole thing. You have definitely connected with your audience :).
