I have a strong feeling that the late pat butcher knew about Cindy being in witness protection and I think she took that secret to the grave cause she was the first one who told Ian Cindy had "died" not the police and to the people saying "pat would have told them if she knew" she would have definitely kept that info secret to keep Ian and his kids safe
A year ago today, Kathy got the opportunity to do something she’d been waiting 34 years for, and that was to finally give Cindy a good clip round the ear.
Barely heard a peep out of Kathy during the 90s when she had absolutely every reason to raise a hand to Cindy, The OG Maneater. She was constantly unfaithful to her son Ian (no change there then), she followed that up by ordering a hitman to have him murdered in a botched drive-by shooting before running off to Italy with their sons Steven (yeah yeah, I know Steven wasn’t biologically Ian’s son) but she did also do a bunk with his other son Peter in an unsuccessful bid to evade the law, leaving daughter Lucy behind in the process. Kathy‘s certainly making up for lost time now though isn’t she and Cindy certainly still knows how to keep it in the family 😂.
The fact Cindy wasn't there when all the Lucy stuff was going off!! All that time when everyone thought she was dead!! She ignored that her daughter had been killed!! She was playing happy families with George and their daughters!!
She had to disappear from that life when Lucy was killed, presumably (though we haven't learnt yet) because she thought that she was being tracked down and that the net was closing in on her. She probably believed that the people who were after her had finally come after one of her children, and that she had to leave her two youngest daughters and her 'husband' behind in order to protect them. She didn't exactly ignore Lucy's death - she was still in witness protection at the time and couldn't come out of hiding for fear of endangering her other children.
I think the only time they were mutual was when each of the pair were seduced and then victimized by Ian's lothario archenemy Richard Cole, also known as Mr. Tricky Dicky himself. But apart from their grievances with Richard Cole himself, I'd say that Kathy and Cindy were natural enemies since the latter's second stint.
@@hystericalwolf if only it were that easy. I would drive to London, which would take about three hours, depending on the traffic, and take over as the new director. I would make improvements to the show, one of which would be to kill off Ben.
