That is one hell of a truck. My unit had them in Nam. Three trucks were moving to new place next to an inlet. We had fuel load of fuel, and a max load of artillery shells plus seven man crew. Two trucks each pulling a six ton 155 howitzer. One truck blew a front tire. Didn't dare leave the artillery ammo behind so we moved it to the two good trucks. Overloaded, running on the sand next to the water we blazed through the sniper area at more then 60 miles an hour blowing thick, black smoke.
Yes! I found a local diesel shop that will order any hercules parts, another local place can get parts for anything rockwell. There are surplus suppliers, just gotta watch what you buy, some of it is pretty old.
WoW that starts ruff.... Mine starts better like that when its sat for a month and below 0... Same here no either no flame heater no block heater... 25 degrees out it spins over about 8 time and is running.
A multi fuel is exactly what is says... It will run multiple different fuels EX: Diesel. Waste Motor Oil, Used Vegi Oil, Biodiesel, kerosene, gas, Any liquid that burns these baby could PROBABLY use as fuel
tell you what, i loved working on those trucks when the Seabees still had them in service, but i absolutely HATED the "Hey idiot, your PSI is too low" buzzer!! those things could wake the dead!!! Great ol trucks tho!!

@TheMackie66 That's a mid 90's Mack FDM mixer... a parts truck!
idc what people say a deuce has alot of sex appeal
@hansentim60 Didn't rev it that high, maybe to 1200-1300 rpms. If it were cranked up to 2600 it would probably let loose...
It has since had new batteries... starts up a hell of a lot faster now!
that one freaking cylinder :D
@mar4891 enough to keep you from ruining the one you are trying to start!
@HuntingCoalinga yes it does
beautyfool sound
Are parts still available for that multi-fuel engine and also for the rest of the driveline?
