I think Solar has the healthiest mentality and the most sincere attitude towards her approach to interviews. She really inspires me to work hard and stubbornly pursue whatever I want to do and believe in.

She's the oldest 3rd gen female idol, and older than many second gen idols as well. This was basically why she got rejected everywhere else, her singing and looks would have gotten her in as a trainee basically anywhere if she was 17 or 18 but she was like 22 or 23 and those are generally considered "prime" idol years by many companies. RBW said they don't give af how old she was (or Moonbyul, who is the 4th oldest 3rd gen female idol) and got her based off talent. That's Mamamoo in general, they were basically all rejected constantly at other agencies and RBW knew they could form a group of pure talent and they did, creating pound-for-pound one of, if not the most talented gg ever.
This is so good. This is what's called an interview. Most of the korean interviews I have watched are either repetitive, superficial or sometimes even offensive. Great work Ravi. Love your work in 2D1N too

Wow loved this. Ravi is actually a pretty good interviewer, he lets Solar answer the questions and talk about her experiences without judging her, just adding some comic relief to ease the tension. I love how relatable & open Solar is about her struggles, showing how celebrities are humans too.
This was a very good interview. It felt like Ravi and Solar were having a real conversation, instead of just shallow talking points. I think it makes a huge difference when you are interested in hearing what the other person says in response to what you've said, and I felt both of them were really listening to each other.
Ravi's questions are quite deep that Solar's brain is overheating from thinking. LOL. I like these kinds of interviews. In a world that is fairly shallow, it's nice to get to know about what's going on in a person's thoughts :)

Usually when i see a male and female idols that aren't that close interact it's usually awkward and so hard to watch.. but this was so refreshing Ravi did such a great job interviewing her and they both seemed very geniune and comfortable around each other! I love this
I really like the content. When Solar said she hope she doesnt lose confident in what she's doing, i relate to that so much. She also said tht she doesnt like to overthink which I understand tht a lot. Confidence is basically the most important thing when it comes to wht u'r gonna do in life. If u start to doubt urself, there's gonna trouble. For sure.
Remember when knetz started speculating because no one from her school talked about her when she debuted? This explains a lot and it makes sense... She was being bullied, that's why no one from her school talked about her... And she is a VERY private person, even with mamamoo, they always say and pray that Solar can be more open with them
I've only learned about Ravi through 2D1N and I've come to like him because of his wittiness. And seeing these episodes of Ravi's Close Up where he gets personal with his guests is such a breather. Makes me appreciate him more.
Ravi is a really good listener.. I like how he listens to what Solar says and reiterates, expands, builds questions on those responses. It makes for a smooth and comfortable conversation.

I feel like idols have this unspoken expectation to bend at the will of the public and to do whatever will appease the masses. I’ve been an international kpop fan for about a decade now and I can definitely see a dramatic shift in the mindsets and attitudes of many idols and even a lot of kpop fans when it comes to an idol’s individual identities and their personal lives. I really love how Solar is one of the few women in Kpop who is unapologetically living her life and I actually really happy that she’s so vocal about it. It’s definitely helping to change the public discourse of how kpop idols are viewed and treated.

I looooove how Ravi conducted this interview. I think it's the best interview I've seen that is done to a female artist. Leaving aside the partners, child, marriage kind of things, the questions are deep, important, and are all about her, her career and how life has mold her. I love Solar 💕 great interview!

This interview is really cool! Tbh, interview about Mamamoo is usually only focus on entertainment purpose, so I keep get the same informations from different interview and I can't know more about them. In this interview, I feel like meet with the real Kim Yong Sun, bot just Solar

I am so happy that Solar appeared on this show. Generally we see cheery solar but here we get to know about her deep thoughts and find out more about her. I am so glad that he asked such deep and meaningful questions.

Usually when i see a male and female idols that aren't that close interact it's usually awkward and so hard to watch.. but this was so refreshing Ravi did such a great job interviewing her and they both seemed very geniune and comfortable around each other! I love this

I really like the content.
When Solar said she hope she doesnt lose confident in what she's doing, i relate to that so much. She also said tht she doesnt like to overthink which I understand tht a lot. Confidence is basically the most important thing when it comes to wht u'r gonna do in life. If u start to doubt urself, there's gonna trouble. For sure.
Remember when knetz started speculating because no one from her school talked about her when she debuted? This explains a lot and it makes sense...
She was being bullied, that's why no one from her school talked about her...
And she is a VERY private person, even with mamamoo, they always say and pray that Solar can be more open with them
I've only learned about Ravi through 2D1N and I've come to like him because of his wittiness. And seeing these episodes of Ravi's Close Up where he gets personal with his guests is such a breather. Makes me appreciate him more.
Ravi is a really good listener.. I like how he listens to what Solar says and reiterates, expands, builds questions on those responses. It makes for a smooth and comfortable conversation.
Ravi really did great at interviewing people.. i can feel that they're enjoying the talk..

I am starting to love this segment. Each of the interviews has been very interesting to watch, especially because of the diversity in the selection of the invited artists but also because of the complicity with which Ravi interviews them. Good work, GROOVL1N!

This interview really gives us value in every single aspects of our life. It is not merely talking about Solar, but also her other self (Kim Yong Sun). Very genuine type of interview. Love it!
I feel like idols have this unspoken expectation to bend at the will of the public and to do whatever will appease the masses. I’ve been an international kpop fan for about a decade now and I can definitely see a dramatic shift in the mindsets and attitudes of many idols and even a lot of kpop fans when it comes to an idol’s individual identities and their personal lives. I really love how Solar is one of the few women in Kpop who is unapologetically living her life and I actually really happy that she’s so vocal about it. It’s definitely helping to change the public discourse of how kpop idols are viewed and treated.

클로즈업 전 에피(퀸와사비님)를 좋게 봐서 이번에도 보러왔는데 역시 컨텐츠 너무 좋네요😊 개인적으로 분량이 그렇게 길지 않은 것도 큰 장점이라고 생각해요. 쓸데없는 말로 시간 채울 필요 없이 담백하고 깔끔한 구성에, 라비 쌈빡한 진행이 정말 좋아요👍🏻
팬분들을 대할 때도 인간 김용선으로 대하고 싶다는 솔라님의 대답이 처음엔 잘 이해가 안 되었는데, 그럼 좀 더 가깝게 관계를 맺고 싶다는 거네요~ 하고 정리해주는 라비의 말을 듣고 이해가 됐어요🙏🏻👍🏻
