He met Mary on the street , if you watch the entire lead up to this video he went around Harlem and invited people to his concert and this was one of the ladies he asked to come to the concert and he asked what she was going to wear and she said a red dress...it is so cute.

By now you should know that I am the biggest Bruno Mars fan. I was introduced to Andy through him, and love him too now. The drummer is Bruno's big brother.OK here is the thing, the Apollo show was set up on the 24K magic album. He sings the entire album plus Uptown Funk. Bruno and his band went through the streets of Brooklyn giving away tickets to this show. That's how he met Mary, sitting on her stoop in front of her apartment. I think he set her up, the setting arrangement, Mary was caught off guard. They do things like that. I'm glad they unblocked this for you and us, thanks.

This song is one of the songs that he performed in concert during the “21k Magic Tour” this performance was changed to fit this Apollo appearance. That’s his own band, the Houligans with his brother on drums.
Of course, it should say “24k Magic Tour.” 🥴
That whole Apollo concert is amazing & worth checking out IMO. You're right in your assessment that this is a set up for Silk Sonic (the breakdown of I'd rather be with you-Bootsy Collins the host of An Evening with Silk Sonic..a coincidence, I doubt it). Digging your channel & energy young man...keep em coming. Yes, 24 k would be an awesome reaction.

@@thatsjustzero actually spot on, Bruno and Anderson met on one of the legs of Bruno’s 24k Magic tour where Anderson and his friends the Free Nationals were the opening act. So you are right for saying that it was a setup for silk Sonic
I knew this one would take you over the edge!!!! this one is by far my favorite and I can watch it over and over and over again! You made it fun to watch again! And yes the entire concert is definitely worth watching. Also you gotta see the prince tribute at the Grammys, As usual lol top notch! Also sidenote. Notice Mary is wearing a red dress, Bruno had told her to wear a red dress to the concert, and what a coincidence his pants are also red.

That 24k Magic Album is what he won that armload of Grammy’s for and some people said he didn’t deserve to win. I’m sure they never even listened to the album.🤨 There was a whole negative “thing” for awhile that’s not even worth repeating. Bruno just summed it up as “Twitter.”😌 High road taken.👏🏼

I agree, with the Silk sonic vibes. In fact when Bruno was signed to Motown they didn’t know how to market him because he was quite unorthodox, but that’s who he is. If you look back at all his live performances the choreography is there, the musicians unbelievable good, and the older style performance quality intact. This is just what he does, and cares enough about every aspect, from concept to performance. He started working at 4 years old, Anderson got his 1st drum kit at 11 yrs. Same age and a lot of the same influences and they both have a crazy sense of humour, that’s a bonus. Even this song there’s that funny stuff going on but in no way does it compromise the music or what he sings. Brilliant🐨👏🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥

I’m a huge Bruno Mars fan, and he has become a legend in such a short amount of time with only three albums. 24K Magic is an R&B album. You should react to “Perm” at the BET award. And, don’t forget his 2014 Super Bowl performance. The best Super Bowl ever in my opinion. He is the youngest to ever headline the Super Bowl, and the only artist in history to have five certified diamond singles.
And Bruno now has 15 Grammy Awards plus a ton of other awards. He still doesn't get enough credit for how talented he is IMO.
Only 3 albums but ENDLESS tours.🌝👏🏼☺He leaves it all onstage, that’s his second home. I’m sure that’s why he had to do something in his down time during Covid - he said as much - so we got him and Anderson .Paak forming Silk Sonic. And the rest is history, a brief history cuz looks like we prolly won’t see Silk Sonic together again dammit! Well it was great while it lasted.🤷🏾♀
