I think that mans lack of reaction wasn't because he wasnt supprised but more that it didn't bother him in the slightest. He accepted him as a girl and also as a cross dresser.

I started crying when he said I didn't fit in men's clothing size, we're the same bro I am also thinking about cross dressing but I am afraid of my parents reaction when I do a that. I think it's a bit confusing for such an old fashioned country to learn the difference between transgender, cross dresser and drag queen. Cross dressers still identify as their biological gender but like to dress up as the other gender bc of aesthetic reasons. Drag queens are a sub category of cross dressers and do it for a living in combination with singing/dancing and/or comedy. Transgender people are people who identify as the opposite gender as they were born as. Some of them just change their name and ask to be called by different pronouns but they are fine with the way they look. But some of them get really bad gender dysphoria meaning they get panic attacks, anger issues and/or depression when they are confronted with their biological gender (for example when they see their boobs/penis or when others treat them as their biological gender). That's why they undergo surgery and/or dress as the gender they identify as. The boy in the video is a cross dresser so he is comfortable talking about his gender but with transgender people it is nice to be careful what you ask them bc it can trigger their gender dysphoria

As a transgender person I agree with everything. I have a lot struggles when people ask about why and how. Some people don't understand and I actually came out like 4 months ago. First I told my friends because they were the most understanding, I was afraid to tell my family but somehow they all weren't surprised.
Still I meet a lot people who do not understand it. I do try to make them understand but it is very hard to keep calm and tell them nicely when they tell me I am "not good in my head".
I live in the Netherlands so I am lucky everything quite simple. I mean like all surgery and other process, it's most likely free to do it in the Netherlands when you're a citizen.
But I do hope to bring more understandable in the world by coming out and share the love we transgender people have. It is hard and life is difficult already for most people. One day I hope to move to Korea, I will not hide my past but also it is more safe for people to not give it away freely.

@@optimus2183 Crossdressing doesn't really tell someone's sexuality all the time. Crossdressing is just, the act of dressing up as the opposite sex. One can be straight and crossdress just because they feel like it or because they want to be pretty or many other reasons, but that doesn't mean their attraction is affected.
For me though, i do it just because it looks cute. It's true that i am gay(not trans because i dont want to be a girl/i like being a boy), but i dont think crossdressing resulted in that. I just like cute and pretty things.

I actually find the guy to be the most respectful and mature about it. The girls seemed genuinely startled (which is fine of course, it's a natural reaction), and some of the comments seemed weird. I feel like the guy was really trying to understand and educate himself. Big respect.

when it comes to this topic idk what would be the proper way to react. like i don't wanna be rude and be like, "oh you totally look like a GIRL" when he is HE and just dressing in pretty clothes. but i also understand that crossdressing requires a lot of courage too. so i don't want to treat those people too stranger-like, but it's a fact they also are precious and special like any one of us. crossdressing and sexuality is not always =.
Very true! Some people just prefer to present themselves more feminine or masculine. Some are mixture of both or neither. The possibilities are endless. Sometimes it doesn't mean that they wish to be that certain gender, more so they feel more comfortable and content appearing that way.
Personally I feel the easiest way to clarify this is to ask for their pronouns so you'll know how to refer to them. After all everybody is different so sometimes asking is just best.
I think if u want to express how feminine a cross dresser looks in fem clothes, it would be a compliment, since thatz kind of the point of it and ofc takes effort, but since he is a he, it would probably only be uncomfortable if u take a dig at their naturally occurring or regular features and mannerism like "oh, u look like a girl even now!" When they're dressed male or something of that sort

I smiled through this video. I know the feeling he described about entering and leaving a bathroom and the guy(s) usually having to double check the bathroom they were entering. Such a fun time when I dressed up, even just casually.
Here's a fun little story, I was at a convention dance and this is about 4-5 years back, wore my visual kei outfit and did basic makeup and was dancing with my friends on the floor. After a few minutes I noticed a guy sitting watching us and then three of his friends come surround him and watch us too. A few tracks later the first guy finally approaches me, compliments my appearance and dancing and then asked me to dance and maybe get food after. Shocker when he and his friends find out I was a guy. The stares and awkwardness of it all made his friends laugh and I felt bad because I embarrassed the guy and I said bye, bowed and went to leave the event. I look back as I'm leaving and the one guy is still staring at me with his friends laughing next to him.

It's difficult, many places don't have clear distinctions between being trans or cross dressing, you'll often find trans ppl that use the label cross dressing even though if you ask them how they see their gender it would be more similar to being trans (in a western view)... you can't really force people to change the wording they use on themselves, it's often very tied to specific cultural things in each place... even things that would be slurs somewhere might be words used with pride elsewhere.
