- This video demonstrates how to use a VLOOKUP across from one Excel Workbook to another. We also have a look at some of the issues when sharing a workbook with a VLOOKUP referencing another workbook.
Thank you. I found this extremely helpful and easy to understand. Some of the other tutorials make it very confusing.
Thanks for the feedback, I’m glad you found it helpful. David
honestly, i've watched MANY MANY videos and yours is the best! Straight to it and explains each step and what they represent or where on the sheet it will pull from!! you are amazing

Such detailed and well explained content. Happy that I came across.
Thank you. Very helpful. I'd love to know how to do it across multiple sheets in one workbook - I.e to look for data across different sheets in one workbook. Hope that makes sense!
I am happy to discover this. Very clear and precise. Thanks very much!

Thank you for such a wonderful tutorial video. However, can we create a macro which allow a user to pick the file from any folder using mso filepicker or something and then vlookup path also changes automatically? What if we want to create same macro when workbook is dynamic?
Thank you. This saved my day. God bless you.

Okay, but do you know how you would do it if it were the other way around? If say, you were wanting everyone labeled "Level 1" to be transferred into the other workbook in different rows with their information? I'm really trying to figure out how to do this for a spreadsheet at work. We enter someone's name in one workbook with the information of their purchase order, and I'm trying to figure out how to make that automatically transfer to a different workbook in a worksheet that's labeled in their name so each of them can see what they have.
hey did u figure out that?
Very well done, thank you!
Thank you 😊
Amazing details thankyou
