I have one of these and I was disappointed because the product photos all show the angle finder with a green backlight, but the reality is there is no backlight at all, and the display is not even the slightest bit green, but the dull grey you'd expect from a cheap 1980s calculator or digital watch.
I've tried at least half a dozen "digital protractors" and not a single one of them was truly accurate, nor were any of the cases perfectly square. I would *_never_* set my saw blades with one. You can get replacement button cells at Dollar Tree.
Yes they've never been quite perfect it seems a modern smartphone that's calibrated is far more accurate and responsive than any of these could ever be although I'm sure there's some expensive professional ones that would work pretty well and yes setting saw blades is nice to get very accurate and using a machinist protractor is a great way to do it
I forgot to mention in the review but these things suck down batteries quickly it's really surprising and they drain the batteries even while they're turned off and sitting around in the drawer
I bought on of those a couple of years ago and put it away without using it for a couple months, then when I wanted to use it then the batteries were dead. So I bought new batteries for it but it wouldn’t zero out. So I brought it back to Harbor Freight and found out they didn’t sell them any more and I lost my receipt but they wouldn’t refund my money even though it’s obviously their product. Careful what you buy at Harbor Freight!👎🏼☹️☮️

Appreciate the thorough review. After watching your review, decided not to get this gauge. Mostly because its a battery hog. Cheers

Mine has worked since 2017
These cheap ones are garbage - the case is not square and the accuracy is random.
Just say for cheap you can buy lots of crap!
Too much talking man
