    Hello. There is one question for you .
    What if we have 2 different ticket and without baggage. Do we have to exit to main hall to check in and get new boarding pass? Or we have to find transfer desk in transfer area to get a new boarding pass?
    All flights is international flight.

    Hi
    I'm travelling from UK to Naxos in September, I'm Schengen European nationality, and there is no check-in luggage, not on the same ticket , how much time do you think I need to transit?
    Is fast-track options will help?
    Many thanks

      Hi, it's hard to estimate the transit time. It will be much faster without check-in luggage. Fast track option is helpful if you have a short time to transit.

    We are flying from Paros to Athens on Olympic Air 063 (May 2024) The flight is scheduled to arrive at 10:20. We are booked on 2 separate tickets, so we then have to get our baggage and recheck into our KLM flight to Amsterdam leaving at 1:30, and then go thru security. I have checked the records of this Olympic flight and it has rarely been very late. Have I given us enough time to do this?

      Hi,
      According to the forum, As you are not entering the Schengenzone but just transiting in the airport, you will not need a Schengen visa.
      www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g189400-i194-k10946263-Transit_Visa_Ex_Schengen_to_Ex_Schengen_transfer_in_Athens-Athens_Attica.html
      However on the Aegean website, For Extra Schengen - Extra Schengen connecting passengers have to go through passport control.
      As there are contradicting information, maybe you have to check with the airline.

      Hi, as I know with different tickets, you have to clear immigration (for international to international), not sure about the case where there's carry on only though.

    I have a flight from Cairo to Zurich with 1h50min of connection in Athens. The flight will be in one single ticket (Aegean Airlines). Do you think this time is enough to go through passport control and head to Schengen departure? In this case, do I have to reclaim baggage or take it in the destination?

    • @theresearchfiles
      @theresearchfiles  2 месяца назад

      Hi, usually with one ticket/ PNR, your baggage will be checked-through and the airline will make sure you have enough time to transfer to the connecting flight.

      If your flights are under different PNRs and your baggage will not be checked through, you have to go through passport control, and visa is required. 1.5 hours may be too little time.
