Hi Johny. Again, awesome build. Over half my character's builds are from you and I am never disappointed. I have a great spear scrapper build, and I wanted to try a spear Mech and was really surprised and happy to find out you have made a build. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks for the work you do making these builds.
Been waiting patiently for your amazing builds! As I commented on multiple videos earlier, I ONLY use your builds as they help me clear all the content with ease. Fantastic build mate!
woah woah woah.. I didn't know you could ctrl+right click mech skills and let the good boi do it on it's own?! damn you learn something everyday.. thanks man.
Hi Johny. As allways, a brilliant work. I will try it soon, but i know allready it is good. Janthir wilds is pretty heavy on condi damages applied on us. Your build look perfectly fit for this new environment. About the new visuals in your video. I like it very mutch. Yellow circles, red rectangles, skill details and description... I thought there was no improuvement to make but you somehow managed to do it. Keep the good work, congratulations ;)
That's why I don't claim to play a particular main class anymore. Instead I say that I am a build tourist. And 95% of the time, Johny is my tour guide.
Thank you very much :) I'll see what I can do, but please note that my schedule is very busy and if I'll make such guide, I have no idea when I'll be able to.
Wow, that looks amazing! I'm very new to engi, this may sound silly, but do I rightclick the golem F1+F2+F3 every time or does it stay active until I undo it?
I'm glad you liked it! Hope you enjoy the build when you try it as well :) That's not a silly question at all. A lot of players aren't aware of that. You do it one time, and it will stay on auto attack. You can cancel it anytime you want by doing the same thing, ctrl right click. Pay attention to the arrows around the skills, just like the arrow around skill 1 on your weapon. If there arrows around F1-F2-F3, then they're set to auto attack, if not, then they're set to manual
@@GamingTutorialswithJohny Ooooh, now I see them! Thanks so much! Yeah, just tried it - no need to avoid mobs anymore - killing them is much faster than endlessly running away 🤩
Please tell me what I'm missing. Several traits in Firearms (Sharpshooter and Incendiary Powder) depend on crit chance, as does your Sigil of Earth. Yet crit chance is miserably low at 35 percent. Generally, when one sees such a disconnect, something else in the trait lines or build generates more crit chance. But the only thing here seems to be Hematic Focus in Firearms, which increases crit chance by 15 percent (for a total crit chance of 50 percent). Factor in that additional burning (Incendiary Powder) and bleeding (Sharpshooter) only proc on crit 33 percent of the time -- and you're only getting those about 16 percent of the time from your traits. Sixteen percent, I suppose, is better than zero. With a condi build and no flamethrower, nothing else in the Firearms Grandmaster trait line would be better than Incendiary Powder. IP does extend burning duration even if it rarely procs damage. But it begs the question as to whether some other armor might have improved crit chance and made IP and Sharpshooter more impactful. (Notably, the celestial armor in Phandrel's build has the same low crit chance.) Likewise, if it's only going to proc 50 percent of the time, would there be anything better than Sigil of Earth? And while we're on sigils, please explain the rationale for the Major Sigil of Malice. Again, I'm probably just missing something, because you must see a conflict with Earth. Does inflicting bleeding on crit (Earth) somehow mess up extending condi duration (Malice)? Crit chance is generally a mainstay of power builds. But in this condi build it is an important component -- yet it seems crit chance is a weakness in the build. Enjoy your vids. Keep up the great work.
Hey there :) Thank you for taking the time to write this comment in detail. I'll do my best to answer all your questions here. 1- You have about 35% crit chance by default. Add to it the 15% from "Hematic Focus", which you get 100% of the time, so that's up to 50%. Then you have permanent Fury, which adds up to about 75% crit chance. It's not 100%, but I wouldn't consider that low and allows you to benefit from bleeding and burning on crits often. 2- For most of the condition builds, condition damage and duration are the two most important stats, which already limits our choices to Viper and Grieving. You can use something like Rampager or Sinister for more crit chance, but then you have no condition duration, which will lower the damage overall. 3- Most of your damage by far comes from Burning, and the trait that benefits the most from crit chance is "Incendiary Powder", which only procs once every 10s, so it's not worth sacrificing that much condition duration for extra critical chance. 4- I've tested the build with capped crit chance, and it did about 20% less damage, which was not surprising. 5- For the sigils, I also tested other options, like Bursting, and Earth still was the best one. I chose Major sigil of Malice, not superior, because otherwise you'll over-cap on the condition duration, so it's a waste of gold, especially for open world. For the setup I recommended for group content, you cap 100% condition duration for burning and bleeding ( the main sources of damage ), without any sigil or even food, so again not worth even Major Malice in that case. As a general note, I think you're overestimating the crit chance usefulness for condition builds. It's more important to focus on the main stats, Condition Damage and Duration than any other. At the same time, try to increase the power and crit chance as much as possible, and select traits that may increase the damage on crit, even if it's not 100%, to boost the damage a little more, but not if it will lower the main stats. There are very few exception to this rule when it comes to condition builds in general, but this build is not one of them. I hope that answers your questions.
Alacrity is a very useful boon to have in general as it slightly increases your damage, sustain, buffs, etc. However, in my opinion, Relic of Rivers is a good option only for classes who benefit from dodging, or use it naturally in their builds, for example: Mirage - Vindicator. On other classes, I don't think dodging should be a part of your rotation, and Relic of Rivers will not be a better option.
Thanks for the video. I will give it a try, but so far, spear is not my friend. I don't like the way it handles or the fact that its mostly meleee, with only one ranged skill. I hope this fad dies soon, as I really dislike this weapon. Your builds, on the other hand, are always fantastic. I've missed not hearing from you over the past month and glad to see you back. Thanks again, my friend. Happy Hunting!
wow the food is super expensive, would you have any more accessible, cheaper food buff, great guide in any case! it makes me want to let go of my main character a little
Thank you! Glad you liked the guide and hope you enjoy the build when you try it :) For open world try "Bowl of Mushroom and Asparagus Risotto" and "Quality Tuning Crystal". For group content try "Writ of Learned Malice".
is there way to play condi spear holo but with less kits dont know only flamethrower, want to do something universal for OW and strikes, fractals but with holo?
I personally don't prefer the Holo playstyle and don't think I'll make a build for it. But yes you can have a Holo build with no kits at all if you want to, and it can work for all game modes. Maybe something like: Hard Light Arena + Laser Disk + Elixir U, and the traits should be similar to my setup
I've tested Viper vs Celestial on the golem with multiple variations, without boons, using both the open world and group content variants, and Viper did more DPS in all situations. So, I'm not sure exactly how did you do your testing. Maybe if you can give me more details, I can help you more. But I really doubt Celestial will do more damage than Viper. Are you sure you used the same rotation when testing both sets?

Golem Numbers for those interested
- DPS = 39.547
- Hitbox = Average
- Health Pool = Average
- All Boons On self
- All Conditions On Golem
Thanks for being so crystall clear about the Golem numbers, it's really helpful.

Can I ask why Major Sigil of Malice? Because condi duration would be overcapped?
Exactly :) So you'll pay extra gold for no benefit
Is it possible to work with LVL Booster, and full celestial build?
Yes it is, but of course expect your damage to be a little lower than what I posted

Yes. Spear is more condition oriented for engineers

Because then you'll over-cap the bleeding and burning duration, which is where your damage comes from. So you'll be wasting your gold for no reason
