In my humble opinion, Damon is one of the greatest actors ever, right alongside Walton Goggins, two incredibly underrated fantastic actors, love to watch them in anything they do.
Some great actors out of Australia New Zealand. Here in Canada have seen him in a couple of Oz shows. And they can do a 'born raised' American accents. I've had ppl argue that an Aussie actor is American.
My favorite Dewey moments: 1. Asking for Jesus's help, promising him he'd go to church every week if only he would help him find and kill Messer. 2. Upon being told that his ability to urinate means he hasn't lost his kidneys, rather than realize Lance lied about taking them out, he says to Raylan, "You meant I got FOUR kidneys?"
He even some Deweyisms last week. Raylan: you're a card in fates right hand don't ya see how that's gonna play out? Dewey: What the hell does that mean? Raylan: It means ya need to be smart!! Dewey: What I need is a six dollar blowjob. A smarter decision I can not imagine. Gonna miss gator boy lol
My favorite part is right before the second one where he goes to Raylan “These are the end times for Dewey Crowe!”… come to think of it those few scenes are gold…”do not blaspheme the Lord.”
You took the character role of Dewey Crowe and made it your own. He did give me the creeps, and, yes, I would have changed lanes if I saw him shuffling towards me. Thinking of what his upbringing must have been as an impoverished Southern boy, Dewey rose to his level of incompetence. Considering his “family,” he was lucky to have lived that long. I think deep down everyone must have a soft spot for Dewey Crowe. You are an extremely gifted actor; making a perfect diamond from a lump of coal. I sincerely look forward to your next creative role. We've been watching this show for the first time on Hulu, and Dewey is definitely my favorite character! Last night was the episode where Boyd kills him, an it was totally unexpected!! 😭 Bravo Mr. Herriman for making Dewey such a lovable, pitiful, goofy character!! Just saw that Damon Herriman was in a short film nominated in yesterday's Academy Awards (2018) entitled 'The 11 O'Clock' about a receptionist turning up for her first day at work in a psychiatrist's office. Both the psychiatrist and the patient claim to be the psychiatrist and she (and the audience) is not sure which is which. Can't wait to see this comedy. I'm an Aussie and I was as surprised as any to learn that my favourite character, Dewey, was an Australian. What an actor!

Damon is a very close friend to one of my close friends who is also a well known actor. He has introduced me to many well known actors in a social setting or at his house, sometimes walking in and feeling like I've walked into a tv show. He always talks about Damon and we have admiration for his roles as he has some excellent roles that showcase Damon's skills and education. They usually are pretty much rough charachters and even though I have always been able to hang out and relate to any actor socially and see them for the person who just happens to gave a job acting, despite their fame, I never met Damon and when my friend discussed his personal relationship with Damon the picture of Damon in my head was always a bit of a rough loose cannon in real life. I mean his work was the topic of many conversations. This must be the first time though that I've seen a Damon interview because I am utterly gosmacked and astonished as to the type of person Damon is in this interview. Never did I picture him like this. Which make me blown away to just how good this guy really is at his craft. To play the roles he plays which are all award winning roles of his recent decade, and to show here that he isnt a person who has just fallen Into acting and has some of his own persona in his charachters, he is so far from that and here I se that ye is a classically trained actir and probably attended NIDA with my pal. I always thought of him as the last person who would of attended NIDA and here you can see just how far apart his gritty roles are from his real world. I'd go as far to say he may even be a bit nerdish. High School drama guy. The guy where at high school if you thought if drama class you'd picture the same nerdy guy and nerdy girl of your school. I'm thinking he was a bit that (I'm stereotyping, not attacking) and that's so far removed from the roles he plays. I highly suggest to seek out roles of his last decade as they are standout roles. Damons day will come where he is the talk of the year and he spends an awards season being recognized for his professionalism. This interview has made me see a persn like Jeff Daniels or Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Edward Norton, and son on. We will be seeing him really take his place in history of film as time goes on and he will receive the highest recognition with age. I'm blown away. He is just too good. Wow. I've only heard good things about this guy but never realised how much they were meant until watching this. He still has plenty of roles on Australian series. Is this maybe Australia's best Actor at the moment,? He sure isn't one of the top 5 blockbuster actors like his friends but money doesn't determine the masters of this craft. I think Damon just might be the Master of Australian theater. I hope to one day run into him socially but now ive started a family that social life has quiented to non existent. Just gotta say the actor didn't get his accent from Louisiana - especially NOT New Orleans, I know this b/c I'm from NoLA!! When I speak, a lot of people who are vacationing here don't believe I was born and raised here - I asked why a lot them say my accent is more like New England, Boston, and even New York. So I guess Damon must've really going into the backwoods of Louisiana if he did indeed get his accent from Louisiana - but I never heard anyone from Louisiana talk like that - maybe Alabama, Miss., or Georgia but not Louisiana. My husband's family is from the Northern part of Louisiana Monroe and they don't talk like that although they talk different than me but not like Dewey. I love the actor Damon but I've met a lot people (my whole life) during Mardi Gras who live in all parts of Louisiana - yes some have Cajun accents but nope none were Dewey accents. Again I think the actor is just brilliant and made the character/accent his own but please not from here. I will miss you Damon incredible actor - love you Aussie's so much !!

I remember Damon Herriman as Bruno Hauptmann in J. Edgar starring Leo DiCaprio as J. Edgar Hoover. When i watched TV shows from Australia, dubbed in french, i remind Damon was in Elly and Jools playing Liam O'Farrell, Rebecca Smart and Clayton Williamson played Eleanor Lockett/Elly and Julian Trevaller/Jools. Dennis Miller was bloody good as Feral O'Farrell and Vanessa Collier is nice as Bridget
Dewey was more than just a "cog in the wheel", as he stated. I loved Dewey's innocence, and his seemingly child like view of the world. He drove my housemate nuts! Every time Dewey said something, she'd say, "Oh, NO! Not THAT guy!!!" LOL Justified is my all time favorite show, because of the writing, the cast, the story lines, and the directing. In fact, I've watched the entire six seasons seven times, end to end. Can't get enough!
Actually Dewey Crowe was one of my favorite characters, as dumb as he was, you couldn't help but love him. His outfit was next level, they cast him perfectly.
Damon is amazing. I spent three years of futility trying to teach a couple friends from Sidney how to say “There’s a Bear in there”. I was convinced it just wasn’t possible.
It’s strange listening to him speak with that Australian accent after watching him play a red neck in Justified. I didn’t realize that was him playing Manson in Mind Hunter either. I’ve got a new respect for Harriman as an actor.

I always thought it would be great to have a series about Dewey and how he wound up in Kentucky from Florida and even early on with the Crowders.
I dunno if I could handle more of Daryl Crowe Jr, though, that character was nasty.

Possibly the best acting in the entire show, and it's not like this show is lacking good actors.

Great acting man - will miss Dewey so much !! Love your Australian accent - well I am a sucker for those Aussie's !! Just gotta say the actor didn't get his accent from Louisiana - especially NOT New Orleans, I know this b/c I'm from NoLA!! When I speak, a lot of people who are vacationing here don't believe I was born and raised here - I asked why a lot them say my accent is more like New England, Boston, and even New York. So I guess Damon must've really going into the backwoods of Louisiana if he did indeed get his accent from Louisiana - but I never heard anyone from Louisiana talk like that - maybe Alabama, Miss., or Georgia but not Louisiana. My husband's family is from the Northern part of Louisiana Monroe and they don't talk like that although they talk different than me but not like Dewey. I love the actor Damon but I've met a lot people (my whole life) during Mardi Gras who live in all parts of Louisiana - yes some have Cajun accents but nope none were Dewey accents. Again I think the actor is just brilliant and made the character/accent his own but please not from here. I will miss you Damon incredible actor - love you Aussie's so much !!

I remember Damon Herriman as Bruno Hauptmann in J. Edgar starring Leo DiCaprio as J. Edgar Hoover. When i watched TV shows from Australia, dubbed in french, i remind Damon was in Elly and Jools playing Liam O'Farrell, Rebecca Smart and Clayton Williamson played Eleanor Lockett/Elly and Julian Trevaller/Jools. Dennis Miller was bloody good as Feral O'Farrell and Vanessa Collier is nice as Bridget

There are many and varied authentic southern accents that are fairly common and intermixed across large sections of the Southeast US.
Dewey was more than just a "cog in the wheel", as he stated. I loved Dewey's innocence, and his seemingly child like view of the world. He drove my housemate nuts! Every time Dewey said something, she'd say, "Oh, NO! Not THAT guy!!!" LOL Justified is my all time favorite show, because of the writing, the cast, the story lines, and the directing. In fact, I've watched the entire six seasons seven times, end to end. Can't get enough!

Actually Dewey Crowe was one of my favorite characters, as dumb as he was, you couldn't help but love him. His outfit was next level, they cast him perfectly.

It’s strange listening to him speak with that Australian accent after watching him play a red neck in Justified. I didn’t realize that was him playing Manson in Mind Hunter either. I’ve got a new respect for Harriman as an actor.
