Thank you very much for reviewing the workflows for both Montage, Montage M and ESP. Just moved to the MontageM6 and ESP from the Montage so it was easy to follow the context. Gratefully.
This is excellent. I had purchased Organimation from K-sounds and found that they linked all the organ draw bars to the super knob in some performances. Now I know how to do this for my own organ performances. Thank you!
@@KierDarby yes, as you click on each part, you can assign a suite of control parameters (up to 8?) and then , when you click on the main patch name, you can collect/collate a selection of these (up to 16?) to be controlled by the Superknob or, to make it even more confusing, you can assign other (not necessarily unused at the rotary/wheel level) parameters directly to the Superknob, so it acts at two ‘levels’. It’s great but so confusing. Hope I’m right on what I’m saying. I’m just getting used to using control parameters the way they should be organised 🙂.
If you haven’t already watched my videos on Control Assign, they’re a really good primer for understanding how the whole control system hangs together… ruclips.net/video/ASuE6ckMUbg/видео.htmlsi=FO4_3HwPT6x4sqAI ruclips.net/video/P_ywiKlefuw/видео.htmlsi=NKsWzdiP3-Fby_yt
Thank you 😁 I’m two weeks post surgery and it’s getting better, though I’m in a sling and a wrist splint most of the time, so keyboards are quite a challenge!
Thanks, very helpful. I’ve had my Montage M8x for 10 months and some of the concepts and controls took 6 months or more for me to feel comfortable with. It is a very deep synth. I’m very happy I took the plunge. While similar, will you start making videos using the Montage M?
The majority of the functionality described in my Montage videos applies equally to Montage M, so I probably won’t re-do the topics I’ve already covered, but where there are major differences, or new functionality on M, I’ll be covering that in due course. For now though, my slate is mostly covered with topics that apply equally to Montage, MODX and Montage M in order to benefit the most users.
@@KierDarby Thanks for the quick reply. I would not expect you to re-do any covered topic, asking about new topics going forward potentially using the M. Thanks for what you do! I’ve been around the block and dropped the Motif and Kronos to go the software route until the M8x showed up . Brilliant!
Super tutorial, especially the link parameter section.
Thank you! This stuff really confused me when I first started out with Montage, so I’m always happy to see that my tutorials are helping other people.

You should work for Yamaha. Brilliant tutorial. Thank you.
Thank you too!
Thank You…hope your arm is healing.🙏🏻

I do have some shiny new metal in my elbow, and an arm that looks like a twiglet though…

Definitely seems intrusive and debilitating. Happy to hear you’re healing!👍
