ABOUT TIME - We use to have our own sports leagues because the whites wouldn't even let us play in their leagues. Now you have a handful of white men making billions off our black men talents and off of our young kids playing in their white universities and bringing billions to these schools while our HBCUs are suffering to stay open. This league needs to pick its drafts from HBCUs only so that our most talented kids will begin to go and play at these schools because they now know they can have a career without the NFL this will bring millions of dollars to the HBCUs. An entire industry for our people will be spun from this - the NFL makes billions a year and contains hundreds of different types of companies. I love football but haven't watched or supported it in about three years because I could no longer stomach the NFL and the thought that another group of white men are about to start another league called the American league just sickens me. Once again I thought our people had missed the opportunity to restart our own sports leagues but maybe this will be the beginning.
So when they seen we were more than just slaves they monopolized off our talent acting, dance, music, sports, and etc. So yes It's time for us to desegregate not to be prejudice but to have a voice and equality for our people. Judah let's get it!!!
I think this makes perfect sense. Contrary to popular belief there IS enough of a Black Population in the United States to support a concurrent league. None has to look any further than the "Negro" Baseball Leagues that were highly successful. If it can be accomplished once it can be duplicated. More power to the people.

It's important for the people who run these leagues to get involved in boys' lives much earlier than when potential players are old enough to compete in professional sports. If nobody is willing to step in and fill the role of all the absentee fathers, there won't be enough kids who have the discipline and the work ethic that is required to be a top tier athlete. Even if they do intervene early, it may not be enough. Right now it's the public school system takes the blame when kids consistently under-perform. However, the point at which the league owners try to make up for children who have been raised with no parental supervision, no family structure, and no role models will be the point at which they realize that all the people in the community can't want a child to succeed bad enough to make up for the negative effects of a dysfunctional family system. Sure, there may be a few outliers who defy the odds, but don't forget that you're attempting to deal with populations, not cherry-picked outliers. For every 1 exceptional child out of 100 who defies the odds, you're going to have to contend with the other 99 who didn't.

However, if anyone studies professional football, it is seen time and time again that spring football does not generate the neccessary revenue to sustain itself. Sports indirectly compete with other sports. February to June is all about MLB, NBA, and men's college basketball. Then you sprinkle in the current mma leagues and boxing, boxing usually has bigger fights in the middle of the year. Football was created as an autumn and winter sport. If the FFL is not conducted from August to December, I don't think it will be a success.
