These are brilliant ideas! thank you. I am new to bag making and have learned SO much and gained so much enthusiasm to try out ideas you have shown here. I find your videos to be THEE best!
You know the funny thing is sometimes I think the videos aren't going to do well and it's those that do the BEST. I try to just talk, cut a joke or two, but at least get to the point and not spend 10 minutes talking about the weather.
I know you mainly teach how to make bags but I'd LOVE to see some basic pattern tutorials for amateur sewists, like for example, circle skirts. There's a lot of tutorials on RUclips for them, but the quailty of your videos and edits, the details and simplicity in your instructions... you can't even be compared!! I love your channel! 🥰🥰🥰 Commented this on the most recent video in hopes you'll see this, lol. Never stop making content pls. (P.S. Your convention bag idea is AMAZING, especially with the security leg strap!)
@@fiercekittenz I'd totally watch it, and any other simple sewing tutorials! There's a lot of beginner tutorials on RUclips but I honestly haven't come across any other channels with nearly the same quality as yours. You go over EVERY step and give so many tips... it's awesome.
Great information. Thanks for sharing. I don't have a lot of money to spend on embellishing my bags. I still don't have custom bag tags. I thought about purse feet but they were pretty expensive. Where do you get yours?
I get purse feet right off of Amazon! You don't need the screw-in kind. The ones I get are lightweight and have two prongs you just support and lay flat on the wrong-side of the fabric, just as if you were installing a magnet. What I do is put a touch of glue on them, then cover them with a strip of duct tape. I only add purse feet to deep bags that may be set down on the floor, like the Swoon Lola. www.amazon.com/COTOWIN-Pieces-Nailheads-leathercraft-Findings/dp/B07D49HQRN
For this one I used SF101 then Decovil Light on the canvas portions. I didn't use anything for the lining or base as those were waterproof canvas and vinyl.
Hi…I enjoyed watching your video and love your great tips. Would you please tell me where you get your jump rings. I am always so afraid that they will come open up when they are pulled on. Thank you.
Will you purchase another machine for cutting out pattern pieces? I to had a cricket but found it expensive up keep. I was thinking Silhouette Pro. Any advice. I find your advice on building bag making skills expert and trusted. Thank you for your time and knowledge.
Honestly? I really want a Brother ScanNCut, but it's so hard for me to justify it. I don't have a place to put it in my room that doesn't involve me putting it up after use, which almost always means I'll forget I have it and NEVER use it :(
Did you ever make a zipper template with your Cricut? If so is there a svg file or did you just measure and make it yourself. I find that to be such a great idea and makes it look so professional.
I didn't! I actually have templates that are from ThatTemplateShop! Here's the direct link: thattemplateshop.com/collections/by-piera/products/bypiera-zipper-overlay-acrylic-templates-1-2-inch-opening
I as m loving your content! However you can be totally authentic without referring to your self as an idiot. Self praise is excellent help in letting go of self ridicule. ✌️
Thanks for this!!!! Can I ask, I’m currently trying to source reasonable wooden or fabric bag tags to ship to the Caribbean? Any referrals or recommendations?
I don't know about wooden or fabric really, but the people I used (Topwin) for my metal tags were awesome! Maybe try Etsy for some laser cut ones on wood?
I am not just yet. I’m working with a fellow designer on this one and we both have had a pretty rough 2023. Things should clear up for us *knocks on wood* this year. The zipper construction is exactly like the Purrfect Pouch, if that helps.
That's awesome, you totally said over 9000. Please tell me you know the reference and if there's another reference, please tell me. All I know is the mis-dubbed Dragon Ball Z reference. It's power levels over 9000 and if I'm just overly explaining it, I don't care. It's hilarious and I love your video so far. 4:45
@@fiercekittenz what's funny is that I didn't notice your background until after the comment I made. Lol. . . But just because someone likes grogu and Zelda, that doesn't mean they also like DBZ. lol. I appreciate your content and hope I'll make a bag half as good as yours.

My new favorite channel for info on bag making thanks
That is so kind of you to say! Thank you!
Thank you so much for your love, council and guidance.
So glad I found your channel. I am going to watch your videos this afternoon❤
Thank you. I love all your videos. I always learn so much
I also like to use zipper cord ends, and rivets!
I never realized the importance of top stitching until just recently! I love the way it looks!
Great tips! Thank you so much.
You always make such great helpful videos! Thank you!

Such great tips! Thank you
I appreciate the classic S-M-R-T Simpson reference! And also your videos! 🙂
Loooove S-M-R-T. I also get a kick out of it when people understand my references. I have so many.
@@fiercekittenz Right?! I think, "A friend!" when I see someone with the same appreciation of different shows.

I could try! It's not something I do often for myself either. Circle skirts are a PAIN haha... mostly when hemming.

You are so welcome!
Love the bag! Can you share what pattern you used?
Oh this is one I've been working on for a few years now with a friend! It's not ready for the public yet.
Wonderful video with awesome info! What size boxes do you use for bigger bags? Thank you!
I actually recycle as many of the Amazon boxes as I can! I hate just throwing them away, so I try to find varied uses for them when I can.

@@fiercekittenz Hand tools build skills, save money and space.
Instead of vinyl for zipper trims, you could also use upholstery fabric as that doesn't really fray.
Great suggestion!

I'm addicted to all thing HM. Can you tell me where you found this fabric? (I find a lot of prints don't have the white eyes and it irks me.)
I made it myself and printed on Spoonflower for this one.

I would like to be able to find quality fabric tags to go on bags.
Try CustomWovenLabels.com - I got samples from them in the past and they were good, but I ultimately went with metal tags.
@@fiercekittenz thank you for that! I will try them out
