I disagree. Die Hard is a Christmas movie. There is lots of Christmas spirit in the movie. Reconnecting with one's lover. You say, "There are no giving or receiving presents". But, Mr. McClane spent almost the whole movie giving gifts. Mostly lead but it still counts in my book. He also gave a lot of hostages their lives. That's a pretty good present if you ask me.

The story is nothing to do with Christmas it's just set at Christmas, the references to Christmas and saying ho ho ho etc are just sarcastic quirks.
A Christmas film is about giving and recieving presents, family time and Santa being involved sometimes.
It's a straight up action film that's set at Christmas....
Doesn't make it a Christmas film... Bruce Willis himself said it wasn't a Christmas film.
