- The Queen received goodwill messages for the King and Princess of Wales after she stood in for her husband during the historic Royal Maundy Service. Camilla went on a brief walkabout, meeting well-wishers outside after presenting Maundy money to community stalwarts during the service at Worcester Cathedral. Report by Matt Blair.

I admire her so much. No matter what is going on she just supports Charles and gets the job at hand done.

I saw them on walkabout near me once.. I am not an ardent fan and i was attending somewhere by accident. no idea they were coming. utterly charming as was the King who was PoW at the time. Much maligned by people who do not know what goes on behind closed doors.. and I think she has served the country well.. plus such a support to her husband, the King. Imagine how arduous it is to talk to so many people such a short space of time.. it IS work and she is in her 70s and hasn;t always been in robust health herself.

What does that even mean? "Mostly with adults this time" Do you not understand what the Maundy service is? At the service, the British monarch or a royal official ceremonially distributes small silver coins known as "Maundy money" (legally, "the King's Maundy money") as symbolic alms to elderly recipients.

With all respect, she has truly stepped up during this time.
She is 75 years old, I'm 72. I could not begin to imagine how stressful it would be for her with the the cancer of 2 close family members, having to work and show strength, while doing it all in the eyes of the world. My hat's off to her. I would be exhausted.
And she has back problems of her own.getting in and out of cars r a problem .is she not 76.

As a British person I am proud to have our royal family, and will support them to my dying day. They've had problems like any family, but I cannot imagine a decent Britain without a monarch. I also resent all the trash they've had to take so publicly from Harry and his wife, and others, and do not believe that the unkind nastiness is justified at all. I wish the King and Princess Catherine a successful recovery back to good health.

I agree, but I wish people wouldn’t come at others in the comments, for stating facts. Camilla is Queen Consort, not a regent Queen like our beloved Queen Elizabeth II. Obviously Princess Diana was my generation, and I must admit I loved her. I will also admit I didn’t think very highly of either Charles or Camilla, but, over the years Camilla has carried out many many hours of royal service, and I do believe our Queen Elizabeth did make amends with Camilla, and knew she’d stand by & support Charles when he was made sovereign. With all the sad news lately involving royals, I think Camilla has shown her stamina, faith, support, and much more. It was a sad course of events that eventually resulted in camilla marrying Charles, but they have stood the test of time, and I think a lot of the British public have warmed to her. I’ve had some silly comments on here & other sites just for explaining how & why camilla is a Queen consort & not a regent queen, but technically it is true. But whichever you look at it, I think camilla has definitely shown her true colours and support for royal family.
