TRULY no bass: BLACKENED with zero bass Vs. Original mix

No Justice for Jason… (But I stil love Jason). I mixed the isolated drums and guitars with the vocals. So, no bass at all.
Just to see if the bass stil make any difference. I think it does, it just sound like something is missing and not as heavy. At least in my headphones. But decide for yourself….
Note: The isolated tracks out there doesn’t sound identical to the album and don’t have as good audio quality. I can’t do much about that, so have that in mind if you compare it to the album.

I'm not sure if it's a placebo effect but I too feel like it's better with bass

It sounds much thinner without the bass. I've *always* been able to hear the low mixed bass and Jason was really playing his ass off on this disc, even though you can only sort of hear it. And on the TV speakers I first checked this out on, the zero bass version didn't clip or overbass/vibrate in their housings at all by comparison to the original cut.

The bass has always been there, the problem is that it has no presence and the tone ended up terrible, but it is doing its job. Nice work

Ye don't know what everyone is going on about I could hear the bass the hole way specially in the harmonies

When "drummer" makes decision on Bass guitar, this is what happens. It's so F*ed up that the whole album made it to public this way. What were everyone thinking back then in the production? Or, there were too high to think?

The funny thing is that there are versions with enhanced BASS, and the drums sound exactly the same as on the original mix. This is what happens when you have someone who knows nothing about mixing music, MIX MUSIC!
