I love when she helps. It’s so precious!!!
Turned out beautiful!!!!!!
That table looks so nice now!! Great job bringing it back to life!
This turned out amazing. I love that hardware and am glad you reused it.
Always luv your work!!! Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge and tips!!!
Always look forward to your videos. Lots of tips and tricks that folks can use. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your lovely family. 🦃
That's my favorite style too. So beautiful! Happy Thanksgiving!
Such a pleasure watching you work, and I enjoyed the singing. 😁 love all the tips
Love using milk paint! Thank about the poly tip. Will try this
I bought this sander based on your recommendation. I really like it!
I admire your determination and dedication. The end result was a timeless, classic piece. Almost reminiscent of a bygone era when men wore tuxedos. Your humor is always a plus.
Another Great video! I always have problems with the protectant drying too fast and getting streaky! But the spray ones aren’t ever thick enough coverage. This is a great tip I can’t wait to try it out
I have the matching one and already flipped it for myself. Mine didn’t have the damage but the veneer is super thin! I did a paint wash stain but I love the black!
I liked your tip on the valspar (or Behr) cabinet and trim paint by mixing the black, or any other color for that matter, 50/50 with the poly. The paint is so tender and this trick does firm it up much quicker. I love the federal style also. However they do not sell that well in this area. I am looking for one for ME and my dining room. I have a buffet now which is not really practical as it does not store as much as one of these federal style. I call them Hepplewhite style.
Very pretty!
Color really nice.
My fave in fact.
Loved the 50/60 ratio at the end. Will apply.
Right now working with a beauty that takes Dixy chalk paint very nice. And wax.
I love it !!!! Thank you
It looks beautiful. Very expensive looking. Love the gold handle.
Awesome!
Never done black but i do the the painting and rolling method.
I love your work❤I’ve been binge watching your videos but I haven’t done a project yet lol! But today I’m going to do one yay! I just noticed you added a color to your bondo but it’s not on your list of materials.
Thanks Lynda! So exciting 🖤 that stuff I added to the bondo comes with the bondo it’ll be inside the lid, and is the activator, sometimes it’s dark pink and I’ve had it in white before too.
Good job
Have you ever tried using a rag (thin the paint slightly more than usual), like one would use while using stain?
Would you do the 50-50 mix on top coat if you were not using milk paint
What were you clipping wax paper on for???? Love the final look!!! Beautiful!
That was so when I glued the veneer back on my clamp wouldn’t stick to the glue and pull on my freshly fixed spot
How long do you wait between sandings when painting?
What type of rollers do you use?
That would be great a dating site for single night stands looking to be a pair lol
Best comment!! 😂
Hi! I have a question. If I’m painting over cabinets that was once painted with general finishes black stain/oil can I just use BIN as primer before painting with water based paint or do I also have to sand first? Thank you!
With bin shellac you can get away w/o sanding as long as you clean the surface well
@@blacksheephouse okay! Thank you and thank you so much for replying!
so funny I have the exact same table and I painted the same dark blue....
For the bubbles do you go over it with same roller or a fresh one?
I use the same one
Rustoleum Black Primer spray paint to speed things up?
Well that’s great advice 😅 shoot! Next time I’m going that route, thanks for the tip!
What paint do you find matches Pottery Barn black finish?
I haven’t done black yet but I’d try a black glaze in the same way maybe. General finishes has a pitch black glaze I’d try that over the same rugged tan base
Question… as i have a piece I am looking at…. Can you not just take the rest of the broken/chipped veneer layer off and just work with the wood underneath?
You can do that but it’s hard to remove it all bc some parts really stick while others are flapping in the breeze, it’s a toss up bc you never know which is less work until you’re knee deep 😅
@@blacksheephouse ah ok! Got it. Thanks for the info!!
Great work on your projects!! PS please wear gloves! Your 62 year old hands will thank you!
