for people asking what he said about dadashev, he basically said that his mentality is humbled, and we may be here today fighting, but it could have very well been him instead of dadashev, and hes grateful for his life. You could also see in his eyes the regret and sadness when she said dadashev. So unfortunate. Such is the sport. Damn.
Hmm...I don't see any of that in his eyes. His attitude seems to be more Indifference than anything else. It's just my opinion, only Jesus truly knows this young man's heart. Dark side of this sport.
@@Funktionier-112Matias had a rough childhood, been to federal prison and has been shot, I believe he genuinely feels bad about that situation with Max , it’s just hard because they both knew what they singed up for, this is a brutal sport and like he said it could’ve been him.
I know it’s taboo but this must be intoxicating knowing you took another man’s life with your own hands. On the other hand the spiritual damage it must do to one’s soul. It’s all about perspective I guess.
My take on this... I really disliked what he said when asked about how he overcame what happened to Dadashev. He basically told the reporter that it could have been him and Dadashev would be standing here doing this interview. He also said how important it is for boxers to prepare, train and do as they're told with no shortcuts.. As boxers we all know the risks. This young man's apparent lack of compassion and apparent indifference is troubling. He must have had a very rough, violent traumatic childhood.
He fought dirty, too. How many times did the referee yell at him for clearly getting in that extra shot after the bell? Four times! There were some other moves the ref kept warning him about...oh, holding Dadashev's head up with one glove and bashing him upside his head with the other. How sad would it be if these illegal strikes played a significant role in his fatal brain injury. One punch to the wrong spot on a certain individual can and do end their boxing career, cause severe mental problems, and obviously death. Anyway, Mathias had no respect for his opponents health. Intentionally taking cheap shots after the bell is despicable. No penalties from the official, either. Take points away, something!
Be careful, train well, you know how do you step up on the ring but never knows how do you gonna step down. Rounded up saying, respect. (I dont know MAX and the context)

He just answered the question that he was asked, no fuss. I think it shows his intelligence in my opinion.

He's a piece of shit ! 🗑
@FighTiming he’s a fighter, yes. But still took quite a bit of illegal blows knowingly.
