The 14 wins was fool's gold. Minnesota padded their win total mostly against lesser teams (Giants, Jaguars, etc.). They played a lower level schedule, beating teams they were better than. The only good team they beat was Green Bay. Then when they faced the really good teams (Lions, LA Rams) they were exposed. Outplayed and out coached.
The 2024 season was a rebuilding season, they got rid of the Cancer, and signed a journey QB so that the rookie QB can learn. There was no high expectation of the Vikings, they were picked to finish 3rd or 4th in the division, being 14-3 and making it to the playoffs is not bad. If Sam Darnold signs elsewhere, let's see what J.J. McCarthy can do next season.
