But after watching my tutorial, some people started cancelling the purchase right after they were charged by steam. Sometimes it is just processing the purchase. So, then if you go ahead and cancel the purchase while it might be just under process..yes chances are there you will lose it forever.

When I purchase I also turn off the “memorize info so it’s easier next time” button
Check if the purchase is on pending and cancel it. Repurchase with a different payment method maybe after sometime. Might help
