You don’t actually have to really hear the frequency that distinctly for it to help with sleep. The music part is what relaxes you and the frequency is what you’re trying to match to your brains frequency while in rem sleep.
This is according to that one highly regarded sleep expert that wrote that book, can’t place his name he was on Rogan’s podcast.
So what I do is put in ear plugs an turn the volume down until I can barely hear the music and the droning frequency. It seems to work, did it last night and slept pretty well.

8 hours only rem sleep isn’t exactly what folks need it they’re wanting to actually dream and remember dreams and have other effects that occur in the lighter stages of other sleep cycles ... I know many people have thought rem sleep to have the only true benefits or to be the cycle where vivid dreaming occurs simply because of all the brain activity and the rapid eye movement during this cycle but as this vid suggests - producing 8 hours of the frequencies associated with inducing rem sleep , I’d have liked to hear no music , first of all ... effects fine. But “ music “, I’m saying with all the synthetic piano runs -‘I just can’t. Too many ppl include all the music and when im trying to sleep i just can’t . Then the sounds of the guitar stings in this vid came in and were so freaking loud. Why ? How can anyone sleep thru that. Let’s face it. People with any remote or marginal ability to plaster whatever “ Music “ Just saturate these vids with mostly all that noise. We need rhythmic frequencies of more even and monotonous tone quality to allow for sleep , not full on musical gymnastics , with repetition of same 3 notes but thowing in some loud startling FFF volume level notes just to make sure ppl can’t fully relax. Nope. Can’t do it. And sad bc I love the effects in the video
