For sure, I hope you like it! I was super excited when I found it, and the fact that they are giving it away for free. I thought they did a great job at capturing the essence of Duel. The fact that my opponent, Aristotle, started with Law and Mathematics made the green card threat real. Hoping the other 4 opponents are equally fun.
1. 10:35 Why did you refill the science token? Am I missing something? 2. If AI gets a card that allows them to get coins, AI should get those coins. 3. If you try to buy a card and do not have enough resources, you need to check how many of the same resources the opponent has and pay accordingly.
Hi, thanks for watching. Yes, unfortunately, sometimes you look back later and find some mistakes with a playthrough. To address your specific points. 1. You are correct, the science tokens shouldn't refill. This was actually a rule my group learned wrong right from the beginning many years ago (I was taught it wrong, but it's on me for never going back and checking). I literally played a hundred times incorrectly. Someone pointed it out on a different video earlier this year. 2. I remember being confused about coins, but I filmed this a while ago. I believe what threw me was the setup doesn't give the leaders any coins, and the 2 wonders in this particular game did not give them coins, so in my head I wasn't tracking coins for them. 3. Yes, I agree. Did I do that wrong at a specific point? I had a price fix on wood and stone, and made 1 clay (and then a "1 of any basic resource" gold card fairly early on, and the 2 production wonders). It's possible though I did it wrong. Maybe I was getting so used to not paying for things I didn't check at times 😄
@@boardgameplays well, I played solo a couple of years back, and now I printed them from a shop and it looks official...so I was interested in the rules. Your video and playthrough summed it up properly :) Many thanks for that.
wait, is it a solo thing or am i doing something wrong? at 2:08 you move the military 3 spots in the opponents favor because he has wonders that have military points on them. but i thought you only get those military points and other stuff like civilization points, resources etc… when you built the wonder
Yep, it's just a solo thing. In a regular game you wouldn't get the bonus until you build the wonder. I mention around 2:00 that the solo opponent begins the game with wonders built. My audio isn't the best here, so I know it's hard to understand every word. I have a new mic now in future videos.
I wasn't aware of these solo cards either. Thanks for drawing my attention to them. 👍

Thanks.. I never knew about this, I will definitely be printing out these card when I get a chance.
Cool, I hope you like it as well! As far as solo modes go I thought it was really good, and pretty simple to run.

noted, thank you
Amazing... I didn't know about that! Where can we find it? You say they give it for free? Awesome!!!
And, one more question, if you know about it : can we play the extensions such as pantheon or senate with this "Solo" mode ? Thank you!
Do I score all my wonders at the end or just the one's that are constructed?
