- Is it really worth it to buy broken cars and fix them in order to save money? This car has check engine lights for turbo under boost, low oil pressure and a miss fire. Follow along as I troubleshoot and find issues left over from certified mechanics shops. There will be a lot more videos of this car, exhaust, intake and possibly a K04 turbo!

Stock boost is from 9 to 12, depends on altitude, outside temperature, on average in the 10 psi.
With those miles, do a leakdown test, compression 160 to 180psi, and check vacuum -20 to -24.
The turbo will behave based on the health of the engine.
Thanks for the tips!
Don’t need a bigger turbo.. but it helps. Don’t need drilled and slotted rotors... but it helps! 😝🤘
Yea, I figured i saved so much on the car I can afford to splurge a little!
@@9NailzGarage im assuming you’ve seen that video.
Great video man!
Thank you!
You should really check the back of your valves. Its direct injection and depending on miles, they can be caked up with carbon and not close properly
Thanks for the tip! Think that could cause low boost?
I had a 2014 Veloster r spec turned to 250 WHP. One of the first mods I did was double catch cans because of the direct injection issues. 7 years later the car ran flawless and those cans caught so much sludge.
In the valves are not closing completely boost will leak out. I don't know if it would trip an error code though.
@@9NailzGarage well, if the valves dont close right, the cylinder can not hold compression. a catch can is a must have i believe for any direct injection car.
How’s car would you recommend buying one
I loved the car and definitely recommend the gti! Already sold it though
Nice 👌 ride for the price.
Thank you!
a running 2011 GTi no way will be 6k, more like 10k, with good exterior and interior.
Haha that video was filmed before we lost all of our money to inflation. I just sold the car for 8500
