🌮 This is our last day in CDMX so we have to eat all of the delicious Mexican food we didn’t on the previous 2 episodes… Stay tuned until the end for a massive food tour of Mexico City!
For breakfast, we stopped into Los Especiales for their Tacos de Canasta (basket tacos). These are tacos that are filled with stew, smothered in oil and steamed in a basket. These are commonly had for breakfast and we ordered their adobo variety.
While exploring the Zócalo area, we ordered a Coca-Cola, which are quite special in Mexico. A Mexican coke is produced using cane sugar, instead of corn syrups. Overall the Mexican Coke tastes better and the cane sugar makes the flavours very sweet. This was a popular request from our comment section on the previous two Mexico episodes.
There is a local institution in Zócalo as well that specializes in churros. We went into Churrería El Moro and ordered a plate of churros (4 churros) with cinnamon and sugar on top. We also ordered their Mexican Hot Chocolate. It was quite delicious to dip the churros into the hot chocolate and the churros were served straight from the deep-fry!
Before we attempted another bite of food, we walked off some calories by visiting Mercado de San Juan. It is a relatively calm and clean market, where you can find a range of Mexican produce, meats, fish and more. For the adventurous tourists, you can also try some unique snacks, like scorpions, insects and spiders.
Outside of the Zócalo area is an incredible taco stall we needed to try. Tacos "El Paisa" is the definition of street food and you could tell that this was a local spot. Here they serve tacos de suadero. Suadero is a specific cut of meat, either beef or pork, that bubbles away in a rich and spicy looking oil. Fatty and lean chunks saturated in oil are served on tortilla and you eat counter-side with the chef. The chef was friendly and even offered us the rest of his brandy! These were the BEST tacos we had in all of Mexico City!!!
To end our last day in CDMX strong, we went back to our hotel and ordered some Mexican tequila cocktails. One was made with fresh juices and 3 types of tequila, and the other was made with tequila, lemon juice and sparkling soda. We stayed at the Hilton Reforma, which we found to be an excellent location for exploring Mexico City.
That’s it for Mexico City! We hope you enjoyed these episodes and make sure to stay tuned because we are heading to Oaxaca!!! Make sure to like this video and subscribe so that you never miss an episode. OAXACA STREET FOOD tour up next!!!

Cleaner than Cali.
Luke , Mark Weins is also showing us Mexico why don't you both make a Collab
Luke, tell me one thing if you can. After all the views on RUclips how comes you ask for some more?
I ask for curiosity. Hope you answer my question…..
I got my upcoming trip to Oaxaca I’m anxious to try the street tacos man
Splendit
The Coke from Mexico in a glass bottle tastes even better. A coke with tacos is a match made in heaven. Great Videos from Mexico, enjoy the rest of your time in Mexico.
It was better because of the pure sugar but now all bottles of coke changed to sweetener because of the Health Secretary in Mexico, that includes pretty much all the food and drinks you can buy in a package and bottles. since that I stopped drinking coke and soda because now it just taste awful.
@@HKDEoff Next time I'm down there I will verify if that is true.
Co-sign on the glass bottle Coca-Cola. The only way to have it.
And the coke from mexico is way better!🤣🤣
Match made in heaven for obesity n diabetes
Viva Mexico ❤️ Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a wonderful day everyone 🌻 The food looks awesome 👍🏻
Thanks for watching 😊🇲🇽
@DrBrunoRecipes Do you like haggis? Then you must try Mexican haggis-machitos.
🏴🇲🇽
Wow! Those tacos at 9:00 are incredible! I've never seen anything like it! I'm so hungry right now! :) Thank you for this video and hi from London :)
Im addicted to Mexican tacos. Have to go to Mexico to get the real thing.
Yes you have to taste it at the source!!
mexican food is by far my favourite, thousands of years of cultures blending and making the most perfect food haha. always has the right balance in my opinion, texture, spice, flavour, fresh, beautiful, and so delicious
I love this video! Shows how beautiful of a place Mexico is and the foods sure taste amazing! Fan from the Philippines
Mexican Cola is so much better! We can recently buy it here aswell in The Netherlands. Expensive but once in a while i’ll just treat myself!
Colombia used cocaine in their bio products.. so many people migrating to a super bad country makes me worried about a failed country’s system and it’s allies. What’s worst than having a bad friend??
I buy it here in Florida. It’s definitely better. Not just the Coca Cola but also the Juaritos, and that golden soda.
This series makes me want to fly down to Mexico City and just go on a food tour! Yummmmmmm
這集好棒,除了美食,也看到許多當地有特色的風景與建築;
原來墨西哥的可口可樂比較甜的傳聞是真的,用的是棕櫚糖;
賣炸玉米餅的老闆人真好,他的炸玉米餅看起來也非常美味;
祝你們兩位:吉祥如意、幸福相依、富貴發達,中秋節快樂!👍😀🙌
無論你們現在身在何方,Happy mid-Autumn Festival!🥰
There is a scam group from China below, please be careful.
The confluence of people, smells and tastes that you are privy to merely by eating on the street is very special. And it is not something that can be replicated indoors. If food is a lens through which to see the world, a seat at one of those tiny tables offers the best view. Love from Korea🇰🇷💕
I've only been to Mexico City once (in 1972, when I was 13) and loved it. This really makes me want to return! It doesn't seem to have changed a great deal in 50 years, which is good news.
Good to hear you enjoyed your trip!!
Hey Luke the authentic Mexican coke only comes in glass bottles you just had a regular coke. The difference is they use cane sugar for the Mexican coke instead of high fructose corn syrup like everywhere else.
It’s because in the US we had an embargo on cane sugar during the Cold War so coke shifted to high fructose corn syrup. Since most Americans are used to this change… even after the embargo was lifted by Obama… US coke still is made with corn syrup. It’s also cheaper and pads their bottom line. You can buy Mexican coke in Vallarta in the US… also coke throwback is the same.
@@GeorgeAdamsIV I never thought I'd see the day where I'd get a US history lesson on a Canadian's food channel about a Mexican soft drink but I'm all for it! haha Knowledge is power and thanks for informing me on why Coke has the different varieties. I'm only 8 minutes drive time from Vallarta in Valley Glen so I'll have to stop by so I can try it myself!
Wow your so good to know everything about the Mexican Coke 😁😂
@@GeorgeAdamsIV They have Mexican Coke at just about every Mexican restaurant or taqueria here in California. They usually seek both normal Coke and Mexican Coke in the glass bottles here, either the normal size glass bottles or the half litre ones.
Wow!! I'd love to try tacos🤣🤣 The Mexico episodes really made me want to dig in Mexican foods and I found only one restaurant in my neighborhood. I'll try that one this week😃 Thank you for making me interested in Mexican street foods!! Stay safe guys!! From Japan
Enjoy Hayato!!
@@LukeMartin I will 😊😊!! Thank you !!!
That bubbling cauldron of boiling meat juices looks insane…. Reminded me of that famous Thai beef soup that has been simmering for 40yrs+
Yes!! Super cool spot!
i honestly love your style. just straight forward, no overly dramatic reactions, not drowing your food in chili and no double entendre jokes. wish you could upload more. take care!
Every Sunday!
Those tacos look amazing! Love those bubbling cauldrons
Man always so awesome. I've been busy the last few weeks so didn't have the time to watch. Now to binge watch, starting with this one.

Man I wish I had that big boy cauldron in my backyard. Would probably re-use the broth for tacos till kingdom come!
That’s not broth that’s just oil ...
That would be amazing
Tacos De Suadero were the up and coming taco of 2020 and now thankfully they are everywhere, so delicious.
“The memories we make with our family is everything.”

That was my favorite video so far from you guys.
Thank you Aimee!!
Keep ‘Em Coming!!
Love Your 🇲🇽 Vlogs! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Coke in Mexico is made with real cane sugar. Here in America its made with high fructose corn syrup. They do sell some with real sugar and its usually more expensive here in the states.
That's why most of them are extremely fat
Another amazing video!! Love watching you two!
Mexican food are look very flavorful
I only see Mexico through Mexican telenovela before hehehe
I love the way you are both involved in the sightseeing and especially the food. I also love the fact thatyou try to get away from the touristy areas, both to save money and to experience the "real thing". I also love little hole-in-the-wall places and street food. If I can, at some point, start to work on my bucket list of scenery and food trips, I will definitely look for you videos to help me. For now, I will trabel and eat vicariously thru you two!!!
You guys are the best 👌 keep exploring 😊 waiting for the more videos 📹

Pretty cool thanks for sharing!!😎💥👍💫
That big cauldron is really cool, i think they have like a big bump in the middle too right so they can fry stuff there in the middle, maybe not something for the home cook though :)
This is something you learn to cook with and never learn how to cook with anything else! Haha
Tacos and guacamole is amazing combination, churros looks great, also coke must be sweet there.
Brandy+coke and tacos=perfect combination.

Wow awesome food and friendly neighbourhood taco vendor. 🍷🍷😋😋👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
thanks for another great video👍
Omg! That looks delicious, even if I’m Mexican and I can eat it everyday 😂💖
Hence Mexicans obesity problem
@@kippsguitar6539 the mexican food is balanced, also has vegetables, fat does not make you fat, but carbohidratos do.
I love México and its food, you can't go wrong with the delicious flavors and aromas of every single meal there, I can't wait to come back there.
By the way guys, I hope you come to Costa Rica where we will show you the meaning of Pura Vida.
Love the authenticity of luke Martin, cheers.
🌮 el paisa! Been there before, and yes those tacos are screaming good!
Wow amazing food with excellent vlog,👌
By the way for those who want to know about those amazing tacos:
-That griddle is called "Comal de Bola para tacos" or Griddle of ball for tacos
-It is 50% lard and 50% water
-It combines various meats and vegetables which will give that perfect flavor
I love watching your videos
The food looks delicious I want one of all of them.
You Two Drunks Crack me up...LOL....Best Food Tobers on the net.... Be Safe...Be Loved...Have Fun. John from Kansas.

I can only watch your videos while I’m eating otherwise they make me so hungry. Will you guys be traveling to other states besides Oaxaca? The food in Mexico is very diverse from region to region, looking forward to all the videos.
Awesome 😎
*A cardiac version of let's see!* 🌴😳
Woow good 🌮🌮👍👍🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
Saudero is brisket. Great video!
I love fried meats and poultry’s with tacos and tortillas and churros.
Wow... I am from Indonesia n I really like this video... Always sucscess for you guys 🤲👍👍
As I saw those basket tacos (tacos de canasta) were quite famous, I decided to give them a chance. Not the best ones in my opinion, they are quite average, and there are better choices. But I think it is worthy to have the experience.
Martin you have to try the Coke from a glass bottle & really cold with a side of tacos is a must.
‼️‼️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Wow amazing 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁
Mexican reminds me so much of Indian food, in the sense that the spices and flavorings are just so intensely good. Everything is flavored in a way where all the flavors simultaneously combine but also you can taste each individual flavor. It’s flavor, delicious, beautiful food.
1:44 It reminds me of Gabriel 'Fluffy' Iglesias 🤣
Very good food😀
👌👍Awesome 😍
cane sugar and no high fructose corn syrup - glad we can find some in the US :-) Thanks for sharing your visit. Don't think Mexico gets enough coverage in the travel department aside from the resorts in the US.
The different Mexican Coke that is made with real sugar is in the Glass bottle.
O m G wish I was with you guys. Love hanging in Mexico!!!
Guacamole looks so fresh! We do our tacos all wrong in the US. Curious and maybe can be educated by someone Mexican as to why they use 2 taco “shells?” Would love to visit our neighbors, everything looks so good.
The two taco shells is in case you drop some fillings!! Pretty genius actually
When corn tortillas are handmade they are like 1"8" thick and your taco use only one tortilla.
When your tortilla is made on a machine it is thinner, when you put sausage, meat and everything it get wet it breaks easily, this never happens when your taco has two tortillas.
Greetings from Mexico City Bob
I went there 2019 Dec. Enjoyed almost all foods there. Nice and cheap place.
Those are some of the best churros in the world! 🤤🤤
Seriously so so good!!!
The first thing I ate In Spain was churros with fudge because I was told they were gonna be the best in the world 🤔 nope 👎
you guys look good together
Yummy tacos
Unique city
You guy's are so cool
Enjoy
Oh, man! We stayed in an air bnb about a block from the historical center. We ate at the tacos de canasta, they were pretty good! The uber drivers were really nice. Charted one to take us out to the pyramids about an hour out of the city.
Yes we had lots of friendly Uber drivers too!!
Wow 🥺
Yummy
Nice kick nice kick
I love fry taco
Mexican coke is made with cane sugar, Coke in the US is made with high fructose corn syrup.
The Mexican coke in the Glass bottle is made with cane sugar. Plastic Bottle is still corn syrup.
@@johnpaulsandoval6178 I did not know that, I've only had it in glass bottles.
Love your videos guys your great. Mexico is the best country in the world #amocomer #cdmx #amomexico #comomexiconohaydos #amocomerychupar

"El Jimadol" tequila Aka El Jimador, is actually pronounced " el hema door".
