My wife and I are moving to Mexico in 2 days where we'll do our canje and get our temporary residency. Soooooooo excited! This is a great list of good things to happen to you in Mexico!
Congrats! June 2025, I'm getting married to my girlfriend from Chihuahua and doing the permanent move to Mazatlan. I've been living 5 months out of the year since early 2023 in Mexico. I've never felt so happy in my life. I've been exploring Mexico as well as Central/South America mostly Colombia and one thing that I've learned while being there is that you don't need material things or chase luxury to be happy. Living a simple life, having coffee in the morning and being able to talk to locals and laugh a bit is what my life is all about. People are very simple and loving in MX. I've been working very hard while preparing in the US, I don't leave my apartment so I can save and thankfully cause of that I've paid off and cancelled all my US credit cards, I'm debt free and feels amazing. I have a huge advantage since my native language is Spanish so I blend in just fine but still cultural differences are something to adapt. I'm hopefully applying for citizenship two years after living married, then will buy property with my future wife. Raising my future family in a traditional mindset and avoid wokeness is a huge key factor on my decision to move. Amazing future ahead. Take care and Enjoy! Never thought the grass was way greener on the other side of the fence 🥰
I’m a Mexican myself living in the state of TX. Loved your video and how you explain about getting trapped by Mexico and its beautiful people, places, gastronomy, etc. Thanks for showing people from your perspective so people can open up their eyes and learn about the positive impact that a country can bring to a person’s life. Started following you hoping to enjoy a little more about your content. Thank you for this awesome video 😃👍🏻
Wow, I can totally relate to your experience! Being married to a Mexican has been such a beautiful journey for me too. Like you, I was embraced by my husband’s family and friends, which inspired me to learn more about Mexico and its culture. It’s deepened our connection and made our bond so much stronger. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that Mexicans love when you genuinely appreciate and respect their culture-there’s so much more to it than the stereotypes and caricatures we often see! We’re currently living between Australia and and Mexico, so looking forward to coming to the home of soul. If anyone here in the comments wants to chat more about navigating the cultural side of things or need some tips, I’d love to help❤
Congratulations on your journey to Mexico and getting married down there. Mexico City is my favorite place to visit. There's nowhere else like it in the world. I hope to return in a couple of years after learning more Spanish. 🤔
We are heading tp Mexico City very soon for the first time! Looking forward to checking out some of the great markets for our produce, and some of the amazing restaurants. Thanks for your wonderful videos :)
Congratulations on your residency! Yep, we are not fond of the perpetual tourists and now things are getting more complicated for them. It’s better to do things the right way. Come to Hidalgo! I recommend a travel to Real del Monte, El Chico national park and the town of Huasca. Have fun!
it’s a good question - i think i’m an introvert too… find groups of any interests you have (language exchange, a common group etc… ) and see who you click with!
You were attacking that pinata so violently! Cool you got a driver's license....so they didn't have the test in English? Didn't know there are 32 states in MX. I see Hata at the wedding!! So did you get in trouble for being late to that meeting?
@@iamalanabroad Actually there are very few relative to the size of the city. There are a significant number of snowbirds who are rarely getting licenses and always leaving by April. Most tourism here is native Spanish speakers and true full time foreign residents are scarce. When one goes to take the written drivers test there are a number of flags one can click on for any number of languages, with nothing to do with retirees. Merida is one of the most visible Mexican cities on the internet, which means it's one of the least known...
Y qué nos dices de la seguridad? Todo está tranquilo? Aquí en desde Los Angeles California veo malas noticias todos los dias acerca de los carteles haciendo cosas muy malas. I am sure you understand my Spanish writing 😊
No es en todos los lugares, Es como aquí en México, recibimos noticias de que diario hay tiroteos en EU y no por eso no puedes salir de casa allá, verdad?
Yep, Talented professionals and financially stable individuals migrating to any country will make it great absolutely. Any migrant that comes to work and pay taxes and doesn't become a burden to the country by committing crimes or doesn't require any assistance from welfare programs is always a great thing to have cause its bringing investment and knowledge.

The family unit is in tact in Mexico which means it has a bright future (unlike the USA). God and the family unit He ordained is the foundation of any nation (Ps 11:3; 68:6, etc.).
Great that you found happiness. But as a Mexican American who visits mexico every now and then, mexico is a very sketchy place atm thanks to the cartel. In my hometown, two dead bodies and the next day a shootout between the cartel and the national guard. A beautiful country for sure but lacking in safety and security sadly.
because you are from a poor family in Mexico.I moved from Mexico to the USA two years ago because I got a job offer that I accepted. My life is way more better in Mexico than in the US. Better health care system, food is better, not too many psycho people. I miss having a personal driver in Mexico, something that I can not afford in the USA, even if my salary is high here in the USA. Taxes in the USA are superhigh and for nothing.
