Its salman, my son got diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome 2 days earlier. He is just 18 mnths. I think your guidance will be a lot helping for me, my wife and definitely for the little one.
Your videos are very informative. My BF actually suffer the same condition, and as his partner I want to be more knowledgeable about his condition. Thanks a lot 🙏💞 God bless you
nephrotic patient here for over 14 years and Its safe to say I am used to these habits now lmao If i go out of my way and eat the prohibited food I dont even like them anymore
Thank you Jasmine for your information. I am a lot older than you (62) and been diagnosed with MCD. Terrible swelling in legs and ankles, retaining water etc. Currently 1 month into my treatment with prednisone and myfortic. Swelling is going down hopefully next blood and urine test shows reduction in proteinuria. It is a challenge keeping bp down though.
Hello! thanks for your comment- welcome to your wonderful journey of MCD! I’m glad to hear you’re responding well to the steroids. You’ll hopefully feel like your ‘normal’ self slowly but surely!
My doctor only told me to cut down my salt intake. I had literally no idea about this disease and i honestly thought the doc might have mistaken when he first told me to take 11 pills of prednisolone a day. I had to do a lot of research and i still can't understand fully. Im still having a hard time cutting down on sodium intake..... But fortunately as for sugar and sweet staff i don't really like it so i was able to easily cut down on that. My real problem is that i am broke and its hard for me to follow the lists on google. 😭 and how do i cut out rice when im an asian?😭😭😭😭
I really don’t know if I have nephrotic syndrome but I have edema in my legs and feet and thighs I have to go see a nephrologist because my doc said that I have a high level of protein in my urine .. are you think that there gonna day I have nephrotic syndrome
Hello! Brilliant question- I believe it’s all unique to each person, personally I’ve never been told to look out for my potassium/phosphorus/gluten levels however I’m sure your doctor can advice you better :)
Hello! I don’t currently film food videos but I do have a whole Instagram with things that I regularly eat! Feel free to check it out instagram.com/_jasmines_journey_?igshid=rtcq72d35hv6 all the best x
It's very bad to cut the medicine sir, I have been diagnosed recently and even after the period of the treatment is finished you must NOT abruptly cut it the doctors instead withdraw and decreas the dosage slowly. I've been to an consulted a number of good doctors (my mother bless her soul was extremely worried) my diagnosis could be different from your son and I am older but what most told me to avoid salt, sugars, and processed foods however fruits are fine. And told me that I should be eating protein as the body is disposing of it as it's a mistake to reduce protein intake when it's the reason your body is blocking the the water in. Of course in moderate amounts. I hope for your child a full recovery but don't mess with steroids for your child's sake.
