Yes, the animations look a bit nicer a BFV, but the ones in ER2 are accurate. They aren't super fast as in real life, you're not going to easily reload a gun within two seconds. Some of the animations other than realism in ER2 are better in some other ways as well. The way the hold the magazine when removing it in ER2 would be more comfortably. In BFV, when reloading the Piat, you could imagine the gun going into their body just from the angle they hold it when reloading. When loading a stripper clip, they don't have to flick it away if it is just the sinlge one where they can just push the bolt into it just like they do in ER2. The M1 Garand is terribly done in BFV, which is one of the many inaccurate reload animations, a bunch of other guns in BFV are loaded wrong. The barrel changing seems more realistic as well, the MG34 in BFV seems like the barrel just pops out while in ER2, they tilt the gun to let it slide out. With the MG42 in BFV, they take a bullet just to remove, when they could have just tilted it to let it slide out just like they do in ER2. PS: You forgot the the MAB and possibly other guns, but I haven't played BFV for two or three years. You also forgot about other grenades, throwing them with a sidearm and primary weapon in BFV, and two guns are different such as the Enfield revolver which is also in BFV, and the Arisaka shown in BFV which is also in ER2 was not shown, instead a different one was shown.
The Ruby was first manufactured in 1914. The French officially adopted it in May 1915, but didn't apply a "modèle" year designation to it. In period French Army manuals they're just referred to as a general category of pistol ("pistolet automatique de 7,65mm genre Ruby"). So in reality the simple name "Ruby" without an "M1914" or "M1915" would be most accurate.
Some of the reloads in BF5 look a little flimsy where Easy Reds seem more distinctive, that said I think BF5 out matches Easy Red, simply because one was Triple A funded, and the other was made by a single person, so the animations are of course going to be better handled overall in BF5. As it’s not just the reloads on screen that count, it’s how well the animation sets are welded together to give smooth transitions between actions, which have to be sinked up with not only the first person viewmodel but the third person model as well, as most games will have separate animations for the two.
BF5 is flashy and floaty and too much wasted movement - designed for kids with short attention span. The idiot in bf5 moves the guns around while it's cycling ffs. The rigidity of ER2 works in their favour bc it's better to portrait WW2 soldiers as workers and farmers with fat hands - and the way they reload the weapons show mastery and efficiency.

Im glad ER2 recently got an animation overhaul, they were much more simple and low-quality beforehand. Still love both games.
