    can sp3 run400?

    • @Lajnish
      @Lajnish  4 месяца назад

      Yes but as it is a very stiff shoe it will not be very good if you dont run that fast. If you run sub50 then maybe they are an option. They renewed the 400shoe from adidas, the ”adidas finesse” so perhaps they are better.

      Whats with the durability of the shoes?

    • @Lajnish
      @Lajnish  4 месяца назад +1

      @@Sub11king I cant yet answer how durable the sp3's are but for the other shoes: the maxfly's air bubble popped twice in very few training session. But i've read they have improved it since my last pair. The upper of maxfly never got any wear. The Superfly elites are mediocre and I always get a small hole in the stitching on the upper from my toe drag but never noticed any wear on the spike-plate. You can at least run in them for 2 full years/seasons.

      I ran 7.40 for 60m with the prime sp3 But ran 7.30 with the finesse 2023 version. Strange. It was new by the way, maybe it takes time for them to wear in.i though I'd run 7.10 or 7.20 at least.

    • @Lajnish
      @Lajnish  3 месяца назад

      @@BacchusB-w5g well they are very stiff and if you have good contact times and fast leg movement then you should be able to run a faster time with the sp3s. But the shoes don't take of tenths of a second when running a 60m. Perhaps you can gain 0.05 from worse spikes.

    Which feels more responsive for you the maxfly or the sp3?

    • @Lajnish
      @Lajnish  4 месяца назад +2

      I believe both are equally responsive but in to different ways. The sp3 felt like I loaded the shoe and the push of the ground was natural. Unlike the maxfly. The maxfly made you feel very bouncy while running but ofcourse that energy feels like its going more vertically and not horizontally. If you need help in the ground then the maxfly might be better.

      I have never tried the finesse nor ran the 400m in the sp3s so very hard to answer. The finesse were improved since the last version so perhaps give the finesse a try since they are made for the 400m. 😅

      I would definitely suggest the SP2/SP3 instead of the old Finesse.
      For the new ones I can't give you an opinion. I would say the foam isore important than the plate for the 400. There probably is a reason why they are marketed for 400.
      If you run 200 AND 400 I would suggest the SPs, if you have the strength for the carbon plate. Some runners just don't get along with the stiff plates, no matter the shoe or brand

      @@jairusorense wouldn't go as far as saying TOO stiff. Just stiffer.
      I personally like it. It takes a bit longer to confirm to the foot but after that it actually feels like a shoe.
      I don't like not feeling the shoe/spike I wear. The SP2 has this ultra thin, see through, plastic mesh. There are only few ways to get less stiff.
