I will be honest. I didn't know this. Thank you for enlightening me. My next lab environment will be inside of an existing tenant and a new tenant all together.
Excellent explanation. One more thing. What is the best way to collaborate with a team - how to get them permission to create resources? When you add user by access control (IAM) of the subscription then user is automatically added to your default AD? Need to be in AD?
Thanks a lot ,Tim! just a clarification: 1. Did you create that new Azure AD instance from the VS-ent2-150 subscription? 2. what happens to the resources within the subscription during and after the switch ? will it experience downtime? or impact the production?
Hi Tim. I have a MSDN Azure subscription through work. However the subscription’s directory is same as my company’s production Directory. Is it possible to separate MSDN directory to a new directory? Thanks
Hi Tim, do you know if I can transfer a MPN subscription from my account I use in my company to another Tenant which I create with this account It’s possible and a valid option in my subscription when I am logged in, but i want to know if I will keep my monthly credits
@@marsamuk unfortunately it is not possible. I opened a ticket to Microsoft and the MPN is linked to the company's domain. If you move it to another domain, You will lose the Credits!
Nicely explained Tim, I have a question. Does the Azure active directory automatically deleted when out subscription gets over? Will be waiting for your answer. 🙂
No, the subscription and the Azure AD tenant are different. First you'd cancel your subscription, then you'll delete your Azure AD tenant. Hi Tim, let`s say i change my sub from aad1 to aad2, i understand you said rbac(aad1) will be lost after the change. what if i change it back to aad1, all the rbac(aad1) for the resource is kept as before? or i have to re-add them? thanks
I clearly understood that Each subscription trusts a single AAD and A single directory can be trusted by multiple subscriptions, Just one confusion, Is it possible for One subscription to trust multiple active directories.
OMG... where was this video hiding..LOL.. I had spent nights deleting my Azure AD, but did not knew this could be a cake walk after going through your video... you are a magician :) , under free account if I switch my directory to a fresh one.. will all the data from my previous AD go away ? . if YES then I really dont have to spend nights together to delete through the checklist which we usually get when we try to delete a directory. please do reply Tim.
Hi Parvez. No, your subscription deployments will not disappear, but as I say in the video, you'll have to redo permissions. I'm glad this video was helpful to you!
Direct, concise, and no beating around the bush. Two thumbs up!
Thank you for clearing up this subject. Your explanation was well organized and explained clearly.
Tim is one of the best Azure instructor! Hs delivery on difficult concepts makes it easy to follow and grasp., pure top notch. Thanks Tim

Excellent explanation. Everyone needs to understand this.
Excellent clear cut explanation sir, thank you very much for the videos. And we need more from you explaining the concept in depth.

This was explained perfectly. Thank you kind Sir.
So informative! Thanks so much
Well Tim, I thought I knew enough about Azure AD and subscriptions, but after watching this video I am now totally confused!!
Abu Laith Well, darn. Confusion is certainly the opposite of my intent here.
Thanks a lot ,Tim!

@@CosmeJunior I’m talking to support and they said it’s possible transfer it to another directory.
what if i have servers in old environment and need to move with those to new AD ?

That's a good question... But I guess once the change made can't not be restored.. Did you try adding it back? What was the result?
I clearly understood that Each subscription trusts a single AAD and A single directory can be trusted by multiple subscriptions, Just one confusion, Is it possible for One subscription to trust multiple active directories.
A sub can only trust one tenant at a time and the reason you may need to switch a sub between tenants
thanks for this details
Very helpful
