Am really looking forward to reading your book when it’s finished. Projects like this take as long as they take though. I have been trying to write 5 short video scripts in between work at the moment and have found it extremely difficult, so I can’t imagine what it is like trying to write a whole book. You have a wealth of knowledge and experience. Please take care and don’t be too hard on yourself. W x
You are not boring Becca! It seems like trying to write about traumatic memories would cause you to go into shut down. (My guess is you are interpreting your shut down as being bored with the project). I just realized a contributing factor to my burnout: I have tinnitus…a constant ringing in my ears. I am a sensory defensive autistic, so this is a constant stress on my nervous system. Ironically, I didn’t “notice” it because it seems like “normal” (it is always there…I can’t even remember a time when it was not there, and I can’t remember when it started). Meditation helped me to notice it. So now that I am aware of it, I need to account for it in my “spoon management.” Maybe something like this is going on with you, too? (You mentioned not having spoons to spare right now)…this is a big covert spoon steeler!
