You have a nice voice and calm pleasant way of narrating. BTW--that's very cool vintage looking strap on a gem Doxa.
Thanks frisco! MK
Wow what a beauty...I loved your thoughts on pronunciation and dyslexia too... totally agree
Love the strap. It really does look old. I share your admiration for Jacques Cousteau. Actually met him in New York a long time ago. Great episode!
Thanks Jim! That’s so cool that you got to meet Cousteau!!! MK
Great job Michael. As soon as I saw the finished product it reminded me of my Navy flight jacket I wore. It’s now 40 yrs old & ur repro looks more worn than the jacket I constantly wore. You my friend are a true artist.
Thanks Doug! Please don’t buy anything from me, because I have something special for you in the upcoming months... MK
I really enjoyed this video, especially all the backstory. Your personality shines through.
Great work as well.
Thanks Clay! What a nice comment, and I really appreciate it! MK
I purchased a blue suede Geckota strap and turned it into an aged grey strap by soaking it in 70% water and 30% bleach overnight, came out a treat with no loss of quality.
Very nice, I appreciate the work you put into these videos. Particularly, the audio quality is just perfect. You make it easy to follow along, especially for me as a person who is blind. I can visualize your descriptions very well. Thank you, thanks for sharing and God bless you.
Thank you so much Ryan!!! MK
A true craftsman WOW
Thanks! MK
Thank you for your kind advice and expertise in making my watch strap Michael.
I’m so glad I found a true artisan like yourself. I’ll be sharing your video with some of my vintage watch friends, and I’ll be looking forward to building some more vintage projects with you in the future.
Thanks again for a fantastic job!
Thanks so William! As I said, this was one of the most fun projects I’ve had in a long time. I’m glad you like the new strap and would be greatly honored to do future projects for you. Thanks again! MK

Great video. Thanks
Thanks! MK
That's a great job. It''s very difficult to distress something new to look old. Another beauty my friend. Also, Dieselpunk.Ro has a technique that he uses wax to get a similar aging process. You might want to check it out here on youtube. On a personal note...the more you share your story..the more I like and respect you brother. Continue the march sir.
Thanks Brother! Yeah I like some of Dieselpunk’s stuff, especially his bags. But some things he makes are just downright weird. Always appreciate the tips and tricks! Stay safe!!! MK
Wonderful work my dear friend. I love to hear your stories. Talking about the watch I grew up in the island of Puerto Rico and I'm a big fan of scuba diving , I remember watching every program of marine exploration with Custoe and his kids. I am having a little problem when it comes to punch the holes on the strap, and I wonder what kind of pricking iron are you using.
Take care friend, may God bless america Long live the republic.
Thank you Antonio! May God bless you as well my Brother. I use 3.38mm KS Blade Punch Pricking Irons. I have a 7 tooth, a 4 tooth, and a 2 tooth. I also use a 5 tooth 1.2mm diameter with 5mm spacing KS Blade round Watch Hole Punch (SEE LINK BELOW). I also have one similar that does Oblong Holes by the same manufacturer. Thanks again, and Long Live The Republic! MK

Wow, nice strap Michael!
Thanks Bob!
Your vidios are good plz I want to see the strap clear in the end of the vidio
The first time I saw your video I was hooked. I was wondering what strap acrylic pattern you use?
Thanks Zachary Paul! I’ve used several, but the best and most current ones can be found at: www.etsy.com/listing/763459933/watch-strap-templates-for-leather-craft?ref=shop_home_active_63&crt=1
Good video but you can just buy a $15 leather rally watch band on amazon and roll and fold it and wet it and you’ll get the same result. I do it all the time for my bands. No reason to put this much effort into it. It’s fast and easy
Thanks Jim, Yep, there’s a lot things one can do, but you can’t buy a strap made out of Horween Shell Cordovan Leather that custom sized for your 75 year old 15mm lug width watch head and 8” wrist on Amazon... MK
@@StrapaWatch great channel though, you're a very watchable host, the good vibes come through
Thanks Jim! I put a lot of work into my shows. I had to take the last two weekends off from putting shows out to try and get more caught up on the strap orders. One week ago today I counted all of the straps that I have to make, because many of my orders are for multiple straps. I was at 84! So, I’m crazy busy... Thanks again! MK
