Alpine diesel always for alpine conditions. At lower temperatures diesel reaches a 'cloud point' where wax starts to form and the diesel becomes thicker. It can clog fuel filters and make your car run poorly or even make it unable to be started. An additive is put in alpine diesel to prevent this. Alternatively, you can buy the fuel additive to put in your own tank instead of buying it pre-mixed from the servo in alpine/snow areas.
I was about to make a comment about how 4x4 touring is so male dominated , it's not for everyone however, the old unlocked hubs trick can sort any player at any time. Well done Bri, your desent in 2wd though shaky showed the type of honesty not often portrayed on these type of channels. First time watching you guys, great to see Matty and Sam included anytime.
Fantastic video Ladies wow 4 wheel driving to snow boarding you can not get much better than this . All ways looking forward to watching a other exciting video take care
Another great video ladies, well done. Don’t feel bad either Bri forgetting to lock the hubs in. I did the same last weekend out near Sofala - thought my hubs were unlocked so I “locked” them ( inadvertently unlocking them as they were still in from a few days before 😄 ) and tried to drive through Williwa Creek. Had 3 goes bogging the back further and further under water and pebbles before I realised 😁 - got out and actually locked them back in and away we went 🤣🤣 how embarrassed was I ? What a rookie move 🤣😳 Anyway, chin up and move on. Great clip folks 👍👍
Bri it wont be the last time forgetting to lock the hubs in, it was good you showed it on the video and not let it hit the cutting room floor. We all (not me though LOL) make mistakes.
05:37 Yo Winx, when you're decending a slippery slope, avoid touching brake as much as possible, cos even with ABS the wheel can lock=lost traction. If you lose traction, gently accelerate till your wheel turns and gest traction then ease off into engine braking, if the back steps out, counter steering into the direction it's slid to. I.E. back end goes right, you steer right. It feels weird so practice on easy slopes till you've got it. Double check your kit before decending.
i've had my patrol stuck at the perisher carpark for a few days waiting for it to warm up a bit because i didnt want to pay the rip off alpine prices for alpine diesel. Now i just tip in a bit of lucas diesel anti gel into the sub tank and transfer it in when i get to jindabyne
Good on you guys for giving it a crack in conditions you're not used too! It's nice as always with you to see the raw and real deal when things aren't going well. As a Canadian / Aussie family we've both taken our turns getting used to wheeling and driving in different conditions on both continents and it definitely takes time (and some nerve!) The weight / balance of a touring set up is a HUGE adjustment! Cheers for another awesome ep, Chin up Bri lol! 🤙🤣
First of all Bri it looks like you're completely run down and need a rest. 2: As soon as you second guessed it your confidence went down hill from there. Yes your hubs were unlocked but I have never seen you freak out before. I have never seen you turn down a challenge turn around and go home yet and you didn't! We all have those days out wheeling so well done to you for doing it anyway. 🙏🏾
You could see when reversing on the road at the start of the video when u got winched backwards there was literally no drive to the front wheels :S and baker didnt notice a thing. bit of a stich up haha
It was very obvious there was no drive to the front wheels, especially reverse on the snow. However, the lady was out of her comfort zone and knew that her car was not right. Somebody should have listened to her, checked her car for the obvious, and not ridicule her or bully her as a wooz. She said something was wrong, but was still pressured to proceed against her better judgement. Fortunatly, nobody got hurt - this time.
Beijing nearly 50... snow driving is a trip.. it's the reason I bought mud/ snow chain .. it's not really allowed in Vic..but I may have driven in 1/2 m of snow..possible i had 10 people in a 75 land cruise ute... hmmmmmm bluff hut rings a bell..lolzz
Bri and her Patrol are the perfect example of all the gear and no idea. A total mismatch of ideas. 37s but not mud terrain, top heavy with a high centre of gravity etc. Get rid of the 37s and get some tyres for the terrain you actually drive and knock some air out.
She didn’t even start descending she was already scared, inexperience or maybe she just doesn’t like steep hills? Regardless of what happened to the car, car problems could happen at anytime but that doesn’t mean you freak out and lose control of the situation. I mean VHC is all about steep slippery stuff cant escape it no matter where you head to you gonna run into crazy steep stuff.
Congratulations girls it's good to see women getting into four Wheeling, keep having fun and making more videos
This Matt bloke gets around a bit. Last night watched him drive PDR to Alice Springs.. and tonight living it up in the snow! 🤙
mad bloke love him
Note to the editor's....
when someone is sending it in a big v8 rig dont play music over the sound of the exhaust.
Doesn't even need to be a V8, those straight 6's sound pretty alright too.

Shes just not wearing make up.
But yeh the rest of what you said is true.

Good job controlling it !

🤣 the hilux seat belt! That’s why I got rid of mine. That and the stuffed motor…
Surly 'explore life' and 'red dirt diary' does a collab with "4wd 24/7" !!!
Guys I know you know it by now but you need tire snow chains to drive in the snow like you guys planned xD ausis and snow how funny
Nice!
Haven't you girls learnt yet follow mat be sure there all ways a u turn coming up
Do you know what Bri, I would have crapped myself too, especially if I wasn’t confident in my vehicle
That was gold that must have been the weekend after we were up there
How good was the snow
always wheel heavy too understand your 4wd but good job lady s
Wow.
ride on
👍👍👍
What’s up with the road tyres? That can’t be helping
There’s no need for 37s for what you’re doing. Too high CoG . Steve 🇦🇺
4x4 in Australia>>>>>>
Pretty disappointed you were driving off the tracks at Gungarlin River. That sort of behaviour will get the gates locked.
Too right. Sad to see. This is exactly why 4wders have a bad name.
How about a mod to turn max track into a snow board, millions?
Hey I crashed my drone were u guys had lunch first hahah
Chains guys ??!!
spending quite a bit of time with matt ladies whos got the crush?
Idk I’d probs freak out as wel and my gu is capable but I might not be
Snow chains and you could’ve driven that in two wheel at the start 😂👌👌
It was in two wheel already too 🤣
its not steep if he can stand without slipping
Vicki? Bri's middle name?

Dude you drive a 79, they don't flex of course a patrol driver isn't used to it
hilarious
Patrol life
👍😎🍺🇦🇺
💀🤙👍
Who the hell is Vicky? Did Bree change her name, wtf
Shauno from 4wd247 put a cable tie around his seatbelt from locking and not being able to get it back out to put on
What?
Its illegal to modify seat belts on Australia.
Do a 4x4 course
