- During the drivers press conference at the 2014 Italian Grand Prix, Alonso is asked if he can be the "Ambassador of Peace" for Hamilton and Rosberg.
Alonso reflects on his own rivalry with Hamilton in 2007, and underlines the "privileged" position of the Mercedes drivers as they both battle it out for the championship.

I think the team favoured Alonso early on that year, but I can see why Ron suddenly turned against Fernando. Alonso blackmailed the team in a bid to get preferential treatment over Lewis, which then resulted in the team getting fined 100 million and excluded from the constructors standings. Had either Lewis or Fernando won the title that season, that's still a poor outcome overall

@@Toku91 His source is trash british media. The "blackmail" situation came after Hamilton tried to steal Alonso's turn in qualy in Hungary and Mclaren just let him do it. Then Alonso got angry and started to threat Ron, so Ron turned the team against him and then Alonso was treated like an enemy until the end of the season.

Classy response from Alonso. Many people think Fernando and Lewis had a problem with each other, but the truth is that Alonso's problem was with Ron Dennis. Alonso believes he joined the team as the #1 driver, while Dennis maintains that his drivers were always permitted to race. It all depends who you believe. Personally, I think McLaren's history in F1 shows their drivers are always allowed to battle
He also had problem with Lewis 🤣 esp after the Hungary incident. Time heals everything man , I remember Alonso in 2010 Valencia was Super pissed with the stewards
It didn't help that Hamilton's side manufactured the conflict in Monaco 2007 or that Alonso attempted to blackmail McLaren in Hungary 2007.
It also didn't help that Alonso's telemetry was given to Hamilton, which Alonso had to adapt to the Bridgestones that Hamiltón already knew. When Mclaren's own engineers recognized that from the second part of the championship the team benefited Hamiltón, there is little to add to that.

No, sorry, Senna and Prost were 1 level up in skills and anger . They made peace in 1993 after Prost's retirement.
The problem of 2007 was ron wanted to make another senna prost history in maclern but he was so hurry for that...maclern could have won titels from 2007 to 2014 all by themself if they manage Fernando and lewis differently...in 2007 maclern should give all the support to alonso and give lewis to learning curve in 2007 rather than challenging own teamate...result could have been different..alonso and maclern would have been wdc in 2007 and 2008...After 2008 maclern could have give both of the driver freedom to fight each other equally then there will be good history... By this lewis might own in 2009, 2011 and 2013..and Alonso in 2010 and 2012...then comes to hybrid ear Mercedes-Benz will not join at this time bcz they're happy with maclern...then comes hybrid ear 2014,15 alonso, 16 for lewis.2017alonso and 18, 19 lewis...20 for alonso and retired from sports then 2021,2022 lewis...what a shame this Doesn't happened

Its always Lewis ho has a problem with teammates. He is not so innocent
Lewis had zero problems with Bottas, none with Alonso either the issues stemmed from Mclaren and 'spygate' and a competitive environment. With Rosberg they were both friends to start with and then they were BOTH competitive and BOTH played games. He had zero issues with Button and has zero issues with George... so no. He doesn't always have a 'problem' with his teammates. And by the way, NO driver on the grid is innocent. Stop cherry picking and making up facts just because you don't like someone. You can dislike him without doing mental acrobatics.

It's a sport, most of the drivers will have problems with their teammates, but only few of them highlighted in media spot for entertainment. That's it

When we thought he finally accepted his loss in 07. I think he is also thought it here. He looks happier. And nowadays he spits poison for Hamilton and he is sad forced into submission for Max.
