People need to chill, Ange's first season in a top flight league. This squad has been given a safety plaster so far with the new signings that have come in but it needs full sorting. Players who can be brought in either for rotation or a tactical tweak per game where its needed. I didn't think much would happen from this game as Arsenal have been quality this season with a dip here and there but Arsenal are a side that have had consistency in the way they play for 4-5 seasons now, and over 600m+ on the squad, they're a settled side at the moment.
Spurs will have to take it on the chin for the building year/years, to see the players understand the style of play properly, then new players replace the ones that can't, and then also for Ange to see the tactical differences in the prem compared to the other leagues he's coached in. As the style might not change much but he will understand if a change needs to happen somewhere he'll try. We've seen a few times this season Berg start the game even with others available and that's Ange's awareness that the midfield and defence will need some defensive astuteness, but the only issue is then we sacrifice the passing style of play at times with his lack of mobility and positional awareness when needing to receive a ball.

He said that actually he would describe it that they don't do anything but tactical work whether that was on they way they play or the opposition but what they don't do is stand around talking about the opposition. It's in stark contrast to Conte who would bring in reserves to effectively act as human cones for the team to work on their shape which is what Dier has referred to as "tactical" work. But I don't think that's the only kind of tactical work that exists. I think anyone who trains with us will tell you that all we do is train the way we play.'

Wtf do spurs fans acc expect? They are never gonna challenge for the league for the money they spend against the other big teams - they was lucky they had a great squad when poch was there which is the only reason why they managed to challenge for the league and get to a champs league final . Best they can hope for is fighting for top 4 which they seem to do under every manager. Now they have one that is doing it whilst also playing decent football. They should concentrate on top 4 and trying to win a trophy. Keeping players like Ben Davies for 10 years also doesn’t help. Basically they have become what Arsenal used to be in Wengers last 10 years. Recycling managers is not gonna change anything if their spending/mentality won’t change (basically what Arteta has managed to do at Arsenal in the last 3-4 years).

  • @stefangonet8469

The one thing I notice with anges teams with his first year in charge is that they are knackered by this point of the season. In the past in Scotland and Japan he has maybe had just enough left over to creep over the line but it's a different story in the Premier. Wait till next year when the boys are fotter and physically used to playing his way after a year and I'm sure you will see a difference in the second half or the season.
Its a tough ask playing football like that for 90 mins constantly!

Agree with most comments. But honestly that Chelsea home game was 1 in a 1000. It’s changed the season. They lost 4 key players in one game. Then started playing with left backs and right backs as centre backs for weeks. Squad depth definitely got exposed. Ange did well to get team through that but never recovered that form. Players who came back were not on the same level as before. I think mentally they never recovered from thar game.
