That last furlong reminded me of Dancing Brave in the 1986 Arc he came through and flew. Ace impact is brilliant and is a grandson of the great Frankel and it shows. Cracksman has done well for a young stallion.
Ace impact is a champion wow the gears he has is incredible. Got to love westover aswell he turns up in all the big races and runs his heart out.
AI never won outside of France so difficult to know exactly how good a racehorse he is??? Tony cuenca
@@craphead9842Think it's fair to say, given his running style, that he's proven himself top-class.
@@craphead9842 he just won an Arc easily enough so I'd say quite good. But he would need to stay in training and back it up next year to show how good he really is or else go to America and stuff Equinox and AR in the turf, that will bump his rating up quite a bit if he managed that.
Hello
@@frankelforever14hii
Well done Ace Impact!. That was a top notch display. I was on Westover, he ran a mighty race.
Desert Crown beat Westover? So Ace Impact must beat this horse Desert Crown to be crowned King.
@@likesport881Desert Crown will not be remembered, Ace Impact and Westover will.
Congratulations owners, Jean Claude Rouget, Cristian Demuro and Ace Impact. Great performance. Best of luck in future whatever you all decide to do.
Very few have a turn of foot like this horse. He is very special. My bet he will go straight to stud now, which will be a shame.
He should race Equinox
Amazing peak speed and amazing success for such an amazing horse! 😵🤩👏Congrats to Demuro/Rouget, great job! 👍👏
Wow the only way to describe it
Brilliant ride from Demuro, he always knew how much horse, he had under him.👏
"Through Seven Seas" came in 4th place. Well done!
She is pride of Japan😊
Japan will never win a arc😂
It is only a matter of time before Japan snares an Arc. Only the non-believers out there. They thought the same for a Melbourne Cup & what happened, a 1 - 2 in the cup. I see we have a numpty comment using the word 'never'. Someone who is probably on medication & has mummy/ daddy issues seeking some serious psychiatric treatment. I hope Japan keeps targeting the Arc. It is a shame Deep Impact never competed otherwise we may have seen Japan's first Arc.
@@JPwhoknowsum, what type of meds are you on? Most absurd statement one can make. Do you have mummy or daddy issues & are on psychiatric watch?.
@@1jet1 "Deep Impact never competed in the Arc"? Of course Deep Impact competed in the 2006 Arc & Deep Impact not only got beat finishing 3rd behind Rail Link & Pride, but Deep Impact was disqualified from 3rd to Last for testing positive for an illegal performance enhancing bronchodilator drug.
@@JPwhoknows asia showed you mercy this year. equinox and golden sixty was not entry.
The great thing about Ace Impact is that he's never been beaten. He got worked up in the preliminaries and still won. He's up there with the greats.
Kind of like the Roaring Lion and Golden Horn.
Pity we might not see him again to see can he do more.
Great Arc,bought back memories of Dancing Brave
Thankyou ace impact for paying my electricity bill!
Christian Demuro did well to keep Ace Impact switched off at the back of the field until his surge was needed, thats what made him last 12 furlongs - they should go back to a mile or stay at 1.5miles but NEVER exceed that 12 furlong distance with him or he will mentally/physically burn out too soon. His near fore grabs the ground in an unusual way so a right hand track like Longchamps is best for him to keep him balanced and reduce the risk of injury. God protect him, I think he is in safe hands with Jean Claude Rouget. Avec Mes Felicitations et Bonne Chance a l'avenir.
Ace impact dismantle a very strong group of horse's like nothing ❤❤❤what a champion
Frankel, what a horse and what an incredible sire.
Frankel is the grandsire, Ace Impact is by Cracksman.
A bit to do to match his father and Grandfather in the sire department.
@@jockoddsock3866 That's not what the record books say. The record books state that Frankel started in 14 races and was undefeated; all in UK.
Black Caviar started in 25 races and was undefeated; 24 in Australia and 1 in UK.
Kicsem started in 54 races (6 of them she was the only starter) and was undefeated; 53 races across Europe and 1 at Goodwood UK; and from distances of ~950metres to ~3000metres.
Frankel's record does not even make Top 5; held by winners of 18/18 races.
It is only in your humble opinion that Frankel is 'the greatest of all time', but, hey!, we're all entitled to our opinion. Right?
Kincsem's record is unlikely to ever be bettered.
Onesto ran a career best in third.
Smashing win this.
Ace Impact was special.
West Over was not disappointing.Fought it out but Ace Impact was going no where
Disappointing: what are you smoking?
He absolutely flew in the last two furlongs.
He's the real deal. Beautiful ride from the jockey. A true horse racing fan will always salute such a performance. Westover ran his heart out as he often does, my selection Bay Bridge flattered to deceive, Hukum rather disappointing on this drying ground.
He certainly is Count. I didn't back him but watching sweep from the back was really something. I was on Westover and Bay Bridge, plus Free Wind each way.
@@FuneemanWestover gave you a good run for your money Coco. What did you think of Hukum's performance?
@@countbelalucozadeI have been exchanging comments with "nightowl" all week concerning ground/weather, i suspected the ground would be against him. He still ran an honourable race though.
@@Funeeman The drying ground was the undoing of Hukum and Bay Bridge.
@@countbelalucozade Race strategy did not work for Hukum. Should have stayed back used up too much energy.
You'd have to say he's one of the greats after that. Brilliant really
He beat a lot of donkeys on fast ground, if it was soft going it would of been a better race with ground suited by the beaten horses.
@@galdessa1 Don't talk rubbish!
@@johnkerr7286Absolutely, what a stupid Statement, Galdessa obviously thinks all horse should be mud lovers.
@@galdessa1There was only Bay Bridge and Hukum who would appreciate the soft ground.
So happy I’ve been proven wrong about this horse staying. An unbelievable performance here. Absolutely bolted in. Ridden with massive confidence by Demuro. Further he went better he looked. Really hope he stays in training as a 4 year but highly unlikely.
No chance unfortunately, all about the money and will be retired unbeaten for high stud value
Ace Impact came flying down the stretch. Clearly the best of this lot. Westover runs very credibly again. 🏇😀👍
I placed a £30 bet on HUKUM, however you have to appreciate the way ACE IMPACT won. This is a super horse 🐎
Well that was a waste of money then 😂
Have to admire Westover
A good consistent genuine horse
Not the best Arc ever, but a decent one.
He gave it his all as he often does, but he came up against a horse who can change gears.
Fantastic performance by Westover, what a tough and courageous horse. Ace Impact’s previous times were extraordinary and so it proves his finishing speed even at 1m 4f is unbeatable on that type of ground. 🚀🚀🚀
Fastest final 600m ever in the race. Seriously a 🚀

Reminds me of Dancing Brave in 86, only special horses with a lightning turn of foot can pull that stunt off, especially on such a short straight ?
Horses running against Dancing Brave were a different class. Horses running this year were not up to much.
The performance of Dancing Brave was better, I was there, it was a world class field with the likes of Bering etc@@galdessa1
Yes the great ones have that killer turn of foot as you say dancing brave had it i can go back to nijinsky not many more i did westover ew and was counting my winnings until this fellow came flying past
As a small boy I was taken to racecourses with my mum and dad and I remember them talking about Nijinsky so I followed the horse ( I was only 11 at the time ) and it sparked a lifetime's fascination of watching the finest of the thoroughbred flat racehorses that lasts until this day.@@johnbatch9276

Ace Impact an excellent horse but 2 comments:
- while on good ground, it was said it's pretty much difficult to come from behind, the last 3 horses during the race are in Top 5 at the end
- curious to compare the fractions but my guess Onesto did very similar ones as the winner, only the matter he was 1,5 length behind entering the straight!
@@fk65682 well. Frankel is abad example, never race the Arc, never tackle 1m4f. Would be like comparing with Goldikova (loved her), obviously doing another sport (the mile) but won 3 BC and in Ascot.
@@fk65682 Sure. Sure. Don't get me wrong. Agree Frankel was a monster, i'll always remeber his Guineas destruction work, at half race we already knew the result. But 1m4f is really a sport apart! Horses like Moonlight Cloud (sorry, i take an FR example) won G1 from 5f to 1m. You could not imagine seeing him at 1m4f... but of course, in recent history, trêve or enable are still an higher standard than this Ace Impact
Reminds me of Dancing Brave's 1986 win. Probably not the quality field that he passed, but still a great win.
Nice win, the horse is not by any stretch of the imagination an all time great but will be remembered as a very good 'un
They get carried away for a few days. It dies down eventually. Seems like some love affair with French racing.
Francesca's comment on hukum being just as good on gd ground clearly clueless well done ace impact what a horse
I suppose it works both ways if he got his favourite ground at the King George. It was a pity never mind her silly comments that I pay zero attention too from gambling anyway.
Frightening
Glad to see his true talent again. Most impressive acceleration in the Arc I have ever seen since Peintre Celebre though in between there were some like Danedream or Zarkava that were close up to the par. His weapon is not purely on turn of foot but by far the most flexible stride I have even seen like a cheetah's longest stride.
Matched by Onesto...watch the race
@user-ug1jj2if7q thanks I already watched many races for decades. I rarely rated a horse like that. Don't get me wrong of course I was not only focusing on final sections I took it as a whole. Look at the horses themselves but not just the races some horses are good at sprinting home with cover and slow/moderate pace. But for example Westover that I really appreciated too is not that type.
Martin Lewis the money losing expert, where for art thou? Thought French form was the pits? This horse is truly special and ran the fastest last furlong ever. Anything to say you 🤡
@DoubleCheeseDecks
That clueless clown Lewis won't show himself on here, he was on O'Brien's Opera Singer video though.
Great turn of foot, i wonder does anyone have stats on his final 200m time.
If Continuous wasn't placed that far back in running... he would've won
Maybe ! but definitely placed
The first and third home were BEHIND Continuous approaching the straight 🤔
@frankelforever14 exactly my point being continuous is a proven stayer so should have been very handy and went for home early as he doesn't have the gears of they other 2
I backwd westover but what a result for Franke
still can't believe the price
a steal
Frankel grandad 💙
Ace Impact was impressive and clearly the best horse. Ryan Moore had Continuous badly placed pinned on the rail then had to waste time and distance trying to get to clear racing. He closed impressively and should have been in the top 3
Continuous should have tried to lead from the start as he has got real staying power and wouldn't have been boxed in and more importantly been able to be in charge of the race as opposed to waiting for breaks and other horses to be out of his way. An ALLEGED style of running would have suited the horse so much better. However it must also be said that Ace Impact and Onesto came from the back of the field and finished fast. Westover stayed on strongly for second. I just think a good strong pace from the off might have seen the field strung out a bit more.
He gave him a bad ride should have made a move to get out of his bad position earlier might not have won but was never going to cut down the field like the Fav did
@@lorristanBut Continuous is more of a hold up type, not all horses can lead from the front.
Made the rest look ordinary, But they probably were.Impressive win
@fk65682 apart from the winner who do you think was above ordinary ? 🤔
What a catastrophic ride of Ryan Moore...

I hope not, it was disappointing to see Dancing Brave run so badly in that race.
@@nightowl7459 Dancing brave had a much harder season than Ace. Have a feeling we won't see him as a 4 year old so would like to see him run one more time
@@frankelforever14 Possibly? But Ace Impact has been running since late January, so he's been on the go quite a while, I would think there's more chance of seeing him next year than again this year.
@@nightowl7459 next year would be better but stud will be very tempting now for the owners
@@frankelforever14 It will, I think it would be very brave if they dare run him again, Just like last year's good Breeders Cup Classic winner Flightline, I would be surprised if they go for the stud option and look after his unbeaten record, that's why I admire Frankel and his connections, they didn't play safe and retire him after his three year old campaign, which they very easily could have done.
Irish bred great stuff
What’s up with through seven seas, for a horse that didn’t even manage to win a Japanese g3 race until her 5th yr old season. Losing only by a neck to Equinox the very next race and then coming in a respectable 4th in the arc.

Yes ..Frankel grand son
Yes bro
Thanks for the info
They use the word superstar way too often. This was not one of the better Arcs by a very long way
@MultiArkle
Certainly can't argue with that.
People will always come up with negatives .
If he retires to stud now he’s really only won the single high class race
The Prix du Jockey Club was a good performance but the second horse clearly doesn’t stay 10f so it was hardly a real test.
If we never see him again he will only have been truly tested once in his whole career.
Yes he needs to race Equinox

Ace Impact is Pegasus reborn?
Strange nobody notices that Onesto did exactly the same finishing run, from a length or two further back.
Onesto carried more weight. But passed all the other horses (just missed Westover).
On ratings, both horses must almost be the same.
Is Onesto as good as Ace Impact?
Is Ace Impact only up to Onesto's rating?
Congrats to all Connections
Deserved a better commentary than that piss poor effort by Bartlett.
Anyone who backed Continuous are clueless and need to get their heads tested, St Leger winners never win the Arc, even Nijinsky couldn't win it and that horse was in a different parish to Continuous. 🙄
Got no run in the race had Moore kept him to the outside he probably would have got second
@@bobtheman19 Too slow.
@@Zarkava8I'm still not sure about a St Leger horse can't win the Arc, too many have gone too close, and look at Alleged, a little bit of reverse, went close in the Leger and won the Arc, it's possible.
The trainer say if not be beating
Probably achieved more already before he even leaves the country to race abroad.
Trainer told everyone he couldn’t see it getting beaten. Made the field look ordinary and if we take the form of the Japanese runner and believe she gave her running, Ace Impact would destroy Equinox. Even allowing for the neck defeat against Equinox being bogus, it still places Ace Impact as around 4 pounds better than Equinox.
Sorry but I don't agree. Equinox won a better race in Dubai and he won it easily, making it from the front. He beat Westover by a bigger distance than Ace Impact as well. Really good performance from Ace Impact today though, reminded me a bit of Dancing Brave. But lets hope that if he does go to the Breeders Cup he doesn't perform like Dancing Brave did.
