At Subway, I've brought my own vegan cheese and asked them if they could add it and toast it before adding veggies and the lady taking my order was so sweet about it. She said "Even if I couldn't, the way you asked was so nice, I would've done it anyway."
Alexis Kis you should have told them why you don’t eat it! Most people have no idea how much suffering the animals go through. It is our choice and people should be more accepting. I’m sorry they did that to you :(
My bfs sis works at Panera and has looked through all the ingredients and this is my usual order- Spicy thai chicken salad - no chicken sub avocado or a Mediterranean veggie sandwich no cheese sub sourdough bread and add avocado... Seriously so good!!
Thanks that helps out a lot. Newly vegan here so still trying to figure the foods lol you know, asking if there’s vegan options everywhere you go to eat loll I love it.
I just be thinking of stuff on the fly. Like.. can I get some fried broccoli, snow peas and tofu mixed in orange, general tao, or sweet and sour sauce with white rice, and 2-3 spring rolls please? Thank you. There are tons of other vegetables you could choose from. I have yet to find a Chinese chef whom has a problem with following instructions. The vast majority are more than eager to cook things the way you want them to. It does not hurt to mention that you're vegan, and don't consume animal products. This way you avoid the occasional chef putting scrambled eggs inside of fried rice, or something of the likes. This is where consistency comes in mind. Eat at the same place so that they get to know you.
Y'all could always get your food "for here" but bring your own to-go containers to take everything home so you don't have to feel weird about filming in public and create less waste :)
I called two Panda Express locations near me today and one said they have vegan options and the other said no. I also emailed Panda Express and they said all locations should now be using the reformulated recipes. Crazy how hard it is to get a straight answer!
The locations that don't provide vegan options will probably change if the consumer demand is there. If they don't someone may setup a vegan only fast food restaurant or takeaway to meet the demand. There's new options from store's, food manufacturers, restaurant's and takeaways appearing in the UK regularly.
I don’t think this will ever happen. It seems to me that most vegans are health obsessed and super judgmental about food and therefore most aren’t going to fast food restaurants. There’s a large subset of vegans who even complain about folks eating vegan cheese and fake meats.
@@nowwhat1434 it already is changing. There is a plant based product burger sold at various fast food restaurants now, C and J has featured and drooled over many times. And veganism is slowly leaving being replaced by these fake meat animal tested products.
I completely feel your pain because I also made a bunch of awkward phone calls to the Panda Express locations in my area earlier this month and nobody had any clue what I was talking about. And I live in LA! Which is usually the land of vegan foods! I hope we see those vegan options soon. I need the noodles!
I work at Tim Hortons which if u don’t know, is a Canadian fast food chain. Not gonna lie, when you work in food service and it’s very busy, mess ups happen. Not trying to justify anything, just saying that shit happens, although it is best that you check
I really appreciate you guys doing these fast food videos. I'm an Uber driver and often end up eating on the road. You got me hooked on the vegan version of the Taco Bell crunch wrap in your last vid. Can't wait to try these new options!
The 10 veg is my fave!! Panera also gets my order wrong ALL the time! The soba is ok but needs to have stuff added like sesame oil or hot chili oil and soy sauce
end of March here and Dallas, Tx also didn't make the cut for the eggplant tofu or any other vegan option. I was told that it was very unlikely for any stores in Texas to get it. Fun times being vegan in Texas..
I wish Hawaii had a Panera. That bread bowl soup looked bomb! I cracked up so hard when Chris flipped his shit over the chicken noodle - I can relate 😂😂😂
Omg when I tried Panera I fell in love! Out of all the great places in the mainland, in and out, chick fil a, chipotle etc.. I wish Hawaii had Panera the most! There food is so soul fulfilling and delicious
If it helps, there's a lot of good copycat recipes out there for their soups. :) I made the Ten Vegetable Soup at home and it was a much better deal! The serving sizes at Panera are super tiny 😭
Just a tip for everyone wanting to eat at Panera Bread! I have worked there for 2 years. The web page panera posts is not always accurate, cafes across the country make their breads and bagels differently. Always ask to see the nutritional book they have at the front to check! All of the salads are really easy to veganize, there’s always one vegan soup (black bean or vegetable soups). Then the edamame soba broth bowl that chris got, but I personally think the quinoa lentil bowl is better! Soba noodle bowl is best with Panera peanut sauce, or go home and put sriracha on it lol. And the best sandwiches to get are the Med Veg no feta or the Modern Caprese no pesto no cheese with any other sauces or veggies you like! I recommend extra basil, peppers, onions, and/or avocado :). Sorry they gave you chicken noodle guys I would’ve been pissedddd!
The French toast sticks are deep fried and the waffle/crisscut fries in the last video are fried 🤷🏻♀️ who knows😉 just reminding him or anyone else that reads the comments that it’s an option🙂
Just found your channel soo binge watching! I have to say I love how real you guys are, I just started a channel and hope to get to your level of comfort :) PS: Now I def need to try the french toast!
I can't remember the last time I ate Fast Food, Vegan or otherwise. I live too far from town to just bop in for a sandwich. I really appreciate these videos since I share them with friends. Love your tats, Chris!!
Thanks for showing us there are vegan fast food options. I must admit, the calls to Panda Express and the Panera soup mishap had me lol. I would’ve been so aggravated. 😂
I LOVE the ten vegetable soup from Panera! I don't find it oily... maybe it was oil from the bread bowl? The soup itself is very lowfat. And yes, please make a copycat recipe!!
There was only 1 store in colorado that had the vegan malibu patty. It's up to the manager to order. I was super lucky that our manager (at the one we frequented) was vegan. When that manager moved, they didn't sell it anymore. It was similar to the dr. praegers burger flavor i think! I'm hopeful that panda express rolls out their vegan option. I'm in tiny town cali though.
Brynna Duckett omg i thought i was crazy there was one day a long time ago i found the malibu patty at a random subway then never found it anywhere ever again. The manager there was indian so possibly he was conscious about veganism too!
Panera used to have this amazing black bean soup that was vegan. It went away with the seasonal menu change and when they brought it back again, they added something to it and it’s not vegan anymore :’( still recovering from the loss

I hope people check before the eat it. Also I always go in and order. They never understand. I always check before I leave. Can't wait for your next one.
I was at Subway yesterday for the first time and I was so happy to get the falafel on the 9 grain with veggies and sweet onion dressing... It was so good! 😍
When my family goes to Subway, we order all the veggies and go home and add a whole avocado to each sandwich, then mustard and chow! I am hoping they will make a sandwich for vegans that comes with double avocado, but does not cost $8 extra per foot long
I read that Panda’s chow mein is vegan, as they stopped preparing the noodles in chicken broth. They don’t say anything is vegan or vegetarian to protect themselves legally in the event that cross contamination occurs and sends someone to the hospital due to an allergic reaction. But they are vegan, as is the super greens and brown/white rice. They used to have an eggplant and tofu dish, but I haven’t seen it in a while.
I get the bowl meal from Panera at least once a week: vegan lentil broth bowl with half greek salad NO feta, add kale, spinach and extra avocado.. Also, Amy's have a vegetable soup (yellow can) that taste identical to the 10 veggie soup.

Exactly!!! I'm so upset because in the internet says that there will be vegan options in panda express and I've been waiting calling every so months to different locations and they never change it...I think it's bc.
Try Which Wich if you can. They taste better and they have hummus, black bean patties, and a whole vegan and vegetarian menu on the westside with clear lists of vegan options.
DUDE. I am Subway QUEEN ..LOL. Vegan veggie patty with ALL veggies. Mustard and Guac with salt and pepper. SOOO good! There are actually 2 veggie patties. One has egg the other doesn't. The falafel I find a bit dry though.
Only time I eat fast food is subway. I know I can make a better sandwich at home with hummus etc and make it way yummier but if you're in a pinch subway is great!
www.subway.com/~/media/USA/Documents/Nutrition/US_Allergen_chart.PDF they probably changed the ingredients. The vegetarian vegimax patty isn’t vegan, but the malibu patty seems to be.
I use an app called Happy Cow that will show you all the restaurants in your area and you can sort by type, vegan, vegetarian, etc. Great app to have on your phone.
I live in Canada and i work a couple times a year on the road and 3 years ago it was a mess trying to find fast foods that had vegan stuff that also my coworkers would want to eat. And now just the fact that we have beyond burgers in a&w makes it so much easier and my coworkers are eating beyond burgers too wich is really cool! Is there no vegan patty in subway in the US? Ok i got there now and i'm really not sure wich one was in my sandwich but it looks like the black beans patty.
Dindonmasker V interesting! I live decently close to Toronto but I don’t frequent subway often as a veggie sub isn’t my fave but I will check my local one out! Thanks for the tip!

Y do u not check ur food lol! I thought that was what ur supposed to do when u order anything ur taking away ... lesson learned I guess... great video
The falafel at Subway is great! If you’re in Australia you should definitely try Lord of the Fries, it’s literally bomb!
Burger King also has a veggie whopper. It’s a whopper with no meat or veggie patty. I get it with no mayo and the fries are vegan as well. XO Davita
It contains eggs
loreal Jones the veggie burger does. The veggie whopper has a bun and veggies no patty meat or veggie.
Actually I’ve worked at a Subway and the Malibu veggie patty is NOT VEGAN
I looked at the ingredients on the box
There’s a very good chance they have changed the recipe
www.subway.com/~/media/USA/Documents/Nutrition/US_Allergen_chart.PDF they probably changed the ingredients. The vegetarian vegimax patty isn’t vegan, but the malibu patty seems to be.
You could do pita pit for one
Omg Panera has so many vegan options! Wish you guys tried some other ones :)
Thanks for the heads up on Panera. I love that place. GOing to have to try both these options.
Why could no one hear at the beginning!? WTH! Panera’s Mediterranean grain bowl w/out chicken, cheese or yogurt, is amazing!!
I use an app called Happy Cow that will show you all the restaurants in your area and you can sort by type, vegan, vegetarian, etc. Great app to have on your phone.
Love it!! I go to Panera and get the vegan lentil quinoa and I can’t tell you how many times they have accidentally put an egg in it lol 😒
Dindonmasker Wait there’s a vegan patty at subway in Canada?!
@@TheKduke i was in toronto when i got it but i'm not sure if it's available everywhere.
Dindonmasker V interesting! I live decently close to Toronto but I don’t frequent subway often as a veggie sub isn’t my fave but I will check my local one out! Thanks for the tip!
@@TheKduke i just looked it up and i found a post on r/vegan from 5 years ago talking about it. i guess that it's not that new then XD Idk if it's gonna be in all restaurants one day... i can't even see it on their official menu wtf.
Dindonmasker V wow so confused! Haha
envisions bringing vegan cheese to Subway, asking them to throw it on and toast it...discount for bringing own food....LOL
