Thomas you are awesome man. To be bluntly honest though I agree the new model could have been a bit more elegant. That front dash board is not appealing, as well as that panic bar handle. The new BMW X5 is a more well rounded vehicle with a much more premium look in the interior. Thank you for the review brother. Keep it up 👍🏽
Good SUV by Mercedes, super interior, the old GLE'S interior was very very dated ,this one is superb ,modern ,new , fresh. I think overall great update with major improvements to the previous GLE, good job Mercedes, great video Thomas!

I actually like the fact that the rear seat slopes down rearwards, especially when you also tilt the backrest rearwards. That's the position I use for the driver's seat as well! Just like a Stressless recliner. I sat in the GLE at the Paris show and found the rear seat exceptionally comfortable.
I just leased a 2019 GLC 300 4 Matic here in Germany. Picked it up in BREMEN. I do love it. But I do plan to go large with a GLE when my lease is over with my GLC for this GLE model.
Interior is fantastic.. classy and simple, not too many unnecessary buttons and screens everywhere like others...more wooden finish would have been better tho

Costel Coaie US spec GLE's are all made in Alabama. The sedan version (E-Class) is made in Germany. Probably not a huge difference in final product, but just a personal preference if I'm spending $70k+ on a German luxury vehicle.
i didn't even start watching it yet fully. 1 minute in and i had to pause to comment. This GLE is the best yet. I am a BMW fan through and through but with their latest offerings even that new x5 is beyond disappointing to say the least. I strongly suspect that i will be moving on to mercedes for my next purchase. This is everything that the x5 should have been in my opinion. Can't even imagine what the AMG version will look like. well done mercedes.

Excellent overview. The one opinion I TOTALLY disagree with is the black wheel arch treatment. The way this SUV looks with body color arches is VERY appealing. And the remote trailer hitch?!? Give me a break. I thought it was a mistake when you mentioned the remote on the driver's door for the remote "tow hook" release. Please. I am starting to be a bit put off with the "gimmicks." The last thing I want is a vehicle with cameras on the inside. It's bad enough that installed GPS systems can give manufacturers, hackers, and insurance companies WAY more driver/location information than they should have access to. Overall, it's a nice vehicle, especially with the deletion of some options.
Thomas which do you prefer between the 2019 Mercedes GLE 2019 and the BMW x5 2019? I like the mercedes but I am infuriated as to why the mercedes have to use fake exhausts it really annoys me and is the infotainment really that slow or it because you had it connected to an internet source?

I’ve sat in both..yes, x5 3rd way too tight even for children..the former gle on the other hand, is huge! Plus, the boot in gle is more suitable to carry big family luggage on short vacation..nearly mpv territory~ But this new gle though, is hideous! In my point of view only..cheers~ ✌🏻😎 Wait for future x7 or x9 to punch right back in this class..should be roomier & classier ims~
I feel that Mercedes are lost when it comes to new designed rear lights !! It looks weird here, on the CLS, and on the A-class it looks like a kia cerato hatch back. Also fake Exhausts looks like a trend these days. However, it is in a class on its own when it comes to interior style, quality, and technology-apart from the laggy navigation system. In my opinion the black plastic cladding around the wheel arches just looks cheap for a vehicle of this caliber. It's nice to see the wheel arches being painted in the main body color.
In what way then? You can't just say looks is a deciding factor. This has better technology and better space. A nicer interior too. Sooo... What is your issue. You haven't even driven either yet.
that middle handlebar looks like a really bad choice to me. Can you even see the controls in the middle as a driver or do you have to lean every time you want to press a button?

After had a look new gle. Can't believe BMW gave up f15. I thought new gle would be so brilliant design that BMW was rush to have a new x5 and gave up f15 x5.i am so disappointed for both of them. I will go for find a brand new f15 x5.

Too nice. I own W166 but this is much better especially the interior.
